So I bought myself brand new dancepad and decided to try only(?) gamecube first - DDR Mario Mix. Hopefully Wii games are gonna work better because in this case Dance Pad 1) works in Nintendont menu 2) works when selecting "Progressive scan" setting 3) works when confirming warning 4) stops working. I dont see any settings in Nintendont that could help but I dont use it that much so maybe Im just blind? I really wanted to play damn game, maybe theres something I can try?

There must be a option that enables the Dance Pad on Nintendon't. I cannot remember, but sure there must be, because if I can remember, there was a "Bongo Controller" option mode on Nintendon't. Did you already check it?
EDIT: or maybe the Dance Pad must be on another Controller slot?? I never used the Dance Pad.

Try with native controller mode.

I share an SD card between my GC and my wii and nintendon't works well on both, however when it came to playing DDR mario mix the pad seemed to work EXCEPT when pressing left or down since it would press left then inmediately register a left press and an up press in the case of down, I tried a regular controller and the Dpad worked just fine, I even tried it with the mayflash GC adapter for wiiU and on the wii and of course the wii's own GC portss but nothin.

So if the same happens to you, turn NATIVE CONTROLLER MODE, I hadn't since my wii is retro compatible and wasn't using the wiiu adapter on it, and the GC controllers work just fine so I assumed it worked as native on the wii, but no, that fixes the input. Since turning that option on disables the wiiu adapter, I don't think the pad will ever work on my wiiU.
NOTE: It works just fine on PC with said adapter so, it's a nintendon't problem.

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
