what i was saying was that hacker who made that exploit was trying to get gbatemp.net and github shutdown and was trying to hack into miiverse as well

Eshop isn't shutting down. The only thing affected here is Miiverse and the Miiverse-related features in certain games.

Even when the 3DS eshop goes dark, there still won't be discounts. Count on it. Nintendo needs to get with the times and copy Sony's PSN sales. Come on Nintendo, get it together!

Literally impossible without complete redesigns of games. It's not a solution for preservation.

I'm sure at some point in the not-so-near future it will, but that'll be years from now. Even the original Wii Shop Channel is still up and running. If it makes them money, don't count on it going away too soon ;p
(And hopefully by then we'll have all the games dumped safely for preservation's sake)

Nah. It will be a while. The Wii Shop is still up and that console is over 10 years old. The 3DS userbase is large enough to milk for money for years to come.
