Read the title! I am not sure if it is safe to copy over the files on my microSD ( in the 3DS console ) to my new 64GB microSD! On the old microSD, there is CFW and I want to keep everything on it but how? I imagine it would be as simple as copy and paste but I wanna be sure! Is it safe to transfer all files from my CFW 3DS's microSD to this brand new 64GB microSD without any weird errors happening? I imagine you have to format the new microSD card first but what are the exact steps?

Format to fat32 then copy everything over. Use this to format
http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?guiformat.htm
Make sure it's your sd that's selected in the tool cause if you select the wrong drive it'll format your pc hard drive.

Btw When was the cfw done. Do you know if there's an emunand on your system?

I don't think there is an emunand, I also upgraded to B9S from A9LH!

Also, what do I put in "Allocation unit size"?

"Failed to open device

Help!
Format first normally on windows then eject and reinsert with shutting down any application. It does this occasionally. Make sure it's always the sd card selected not your hard drive.

Another guide recommend 32kb allocation size, I have two units with 200GB SD and they work fine with 32kb allocation, so I also recommend 32kb.

I guess I have to turn off "Quick Format" because it doesn't seem to be working :/

I have an question and no-one is answering it! Should I make an new thread?
I've gotten the same issue you had with guiformat, and the fix is simple. Close all windows explorer windows before you format the drive. It should work now.

Huh strange, I always close the explorer windows and it always gives me that error but...

I messed up my microSD card with minitool so I formatted it ( using Windows 10 ) again and then I put it through guiformat again and this time it seems to work?

EDIT: It has successfully formatted, thanks everyone!
