Good: This is the ultimate external device for all Nintendo DS family consoles.
Bad: Highly overpriced. Especially when have free alternatives to flashcarts like CFW and nds-bootstrap on both 3DS and DSi.

Or you could use the title search feature to list the names of the games, select as many as you want with L and then dump them all at once.

It's a shame there isn't an easy way to download a cia from nintendo's servers to your computer anymore. Now it's "just use freeshop and dump with decrypt9".

i'm not sure if you are just joking when you say 'anymore' (and at least to stop anyone who doesn't know from getting confused!):
but all the methods we ever used to make good cias on the computer straight from nintendo still work. FunKeyCIA and the guis that followed etc work on the pc.

no need to create a cia from already downloaded content on the 3ds. (although if it is 1:1, that's great)

also CIAngel (unlike freeshop) - that can create a cia and save it to the sd card on the 3ds.

It's overpriced, but there's plenty of people out there who are too afraid to install CFW themselves or ship their console to someone they don't know, and they will buy it. That's why Sky3DS still exists.

to me i see the situation as this gateway sees scds2+ bricks it then joins forces with sky (because they realized they cant keep up with fw updates but sky could) to create a scds2+ ripoff

Not really, while funkeycia still works you still have to look up title ids manually which is even more of a pain than freeshop+decrypt9. Both cdn-fx and 3dsestuff are gone and I don't know of any replacements that actually create cias.

The question is: does it toast bread, and is it a microwave, as well as does it emulate every console up to the XBOX One X, and upcoming consoles? I mean: they claim it exceeds your expectations, but mine are a tad high.

If this could run SNES, GBA, and NES roms perfectly without needing to install VC CIA, I might get it. It would be kind of cool to have entire ROM libraries all in one place on a portable, which is something you can't do with CFW because of the home menu title limit

although its not perfect emulation its the reason i have a scds2

I made FunKeyCIA ha, I just wanted it to be simple, and not interactive.
So no 'searching' by name etc.

If you want something that looks nice check out wiiu usb helper?

that sounds.. interesting....
if they keep the price low it might be a good idea for people who want to use 3ds roms as an expansion to the SD thats inside the console... I probably wont buy it as its a lot easier to use freeshop then each time go to the computer, insert SD, search the internet...

It's less effort to install with freeshop, but in my experience it takes a lot longer to download and install CIAs with freeshop than it does to download a ROM and put it on your SD card

What do you mean Cdn-fx is gone? It has stopped being developed, but the program still works. With the database included with it, you don't have to search any title IDs (though obviously it doesn't have the new games but someone can easily add it. That's why it's called "community.xml")
