And where do you expect the modchip to sit in the system? There is virtually no extra space in there for any mod chip.

at the same time. I'm trying to figure out who's trolling and who is just, well, stupid. Obviously a hack for FW > 3.0.0 could happen. Just like a mod chip could happen. No one is saying its impossible. Its like everyone who updated past 3.0.0 is trying to tell themselves "it'll be ok, little buddy, don't hate yourself for updating your Switch. We'll get our hax and free games someday."
I hacked my PSP/NDS/Wii to death and barely finished a game. Of course that was when I was a poor college student. Now, I feel like if I pay for a game, I'd be more inclined to want to get its worth out of it. Like with BotW...I could beat it in the next few days but want to savor it a little longer. I really don't care if people pirate. I'm fortunate to have a good enough job to buy games and consoles at leisure (although an understanding wife who allows me to buy more games would be great). I do care about online cheaters and I'm hoping that no CFW comes out that will allow for modded online users...at least any time soon.

It was "dead in the water" far before it was hacked.
If you can buy a console but can't afford games, you don't deserve the console. Only understandable situation would be if you got it as a gift.

For me there are several games I want to try before I buy. Luckily many switch games are actually getting demos so I don't even need to for most first party titles.
My main wish is save management and rom hacks. Maybe something to stream video over usb eventually so I can stream while playing in handheld mode.

i mean save management would be great , also an good media player like VLC or maybe even to run Kodi ... you can do alot with it if the right person comes its not about piracy like people think it is its about having a chance to use the device at its fullest

To add to this, just take a look at the vita and what it's capable of now that it's 100% hackable and the community is 110% alive.

@K3Nv2 I got some cheapies at wallys, that are pretty good, already have lost a few expensive ones (one falls out and gone, can't find) while cutting grass so bought some cheap ones, and of course never lose these cheap ones. (Cheap meaning only $35, compared to air buds which I only have 1 of 2 now)
