I must admit that I did this install quite a while ago and remember it being a bit more involved than the other script-kiddie endeavors I've done. That said, it's been working fine up till last week when I used it last. Now though, I booted up and was greeted with a black screen with a -3 printed in the top right corner of the screen. The only thing that's changed is I just loaded some "homebrew" onto my sd and plugged in a Skylanders portal I just purchased today. (Attempted without portal with same result.)

My setup is set to boot to CBHC menu, then boot to Mocha. But like I said, that's giving the error. Booting to HBLauncher from CBHC does the same. I can boot to home menu from CBHC just fine and system gives sys ver. 99.99.99 which I've never noticed before but read is expected for CBHC. My USB drive seems to be just fine, I've tested one of my backups without issue. My SD card seems to be ok as it's recognized in Windows without objection or signs of corruption. Booting into HBLauncher via the system menu is giving me an empty menu with nothing there but the water theme background.

Can anyone give me any hints? My Google-fu hasn't come up with any errors similar to what I'm experiencing though that may just be that my Google-fu is weak-sauce.

At least in my case, that's because:
  • The SD card can not be loaded. Unplug it, then plug it back in.
  • The files are not in the SD or incorrectly placed. Check that.
So, summarizing is a problem loading files due to one factor or another. Try those both.

Thanks for the reply's guys. I've noticed that things are working fine without MochaCFW so I might just take your advice Wicks. Oddly, HBL started functioning again so maybe there was a wonky connection like Enlapse suggested. Thanks again.

When you set it to autoboot sysnand, it wont need an SD card inserted to boot the system. We knew it was an SD card related issue and assumed you chose mocha or HBL for autoboot.
