Hello,

I followed the instructions at wiiu.guide to set up Haxchi with Mocha for my Wii U, and set up the Homebrew Channel in the vWii.

However, it is not clear to me how to play Nintendo 64 (N64) ROMs on my Wii U and there doesn't seem to be a Retroarch core from the Wii U's Homebrew app store.

How do I play Nintendo 64 ROMs on my Wii U (or in my vWii)??? Thanks!

You are limited to what is in the eShop, and VC injections.

On the vWii Side, you can use Not64.

Here is a compatibility list: http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/Wii64_Compatibility_List

Why are you using haxchi and mocha??? They are both CFW and both do the exact same thing you are basically running a cfw to use another cfw which is pointless and stupid. And some people wonder why pretty much every senior member of this site tell people to NEVER use wiiu guide lol.

Haha I'm afraid I have to take more credit for "haxchi and mocha" than wiiu.guide. :P What I meant was my set up is: I got Haxchi set up in my Wii U menu. After I start it, the Wii U would boot into the custom firmware, and *during boot it would show the Mocha logo*. So does this mean that I'm running Haxchi or Mocha????

Yes haxchi is booting the mocha is loading like I said you are booting a cfw to the load a cfw when the first cfw IE haxchi does the exact same things as the second cfw IE mocha. So it's pointless to boot mocha when you have Haxchi already

If you're familiar with the 3DS scene that would be like using the Luma chainloader to launch ReiNAND/Corbenik, correct?

Well, technically Haxchi ain't a CFW but it has a built-in CFW, Haxchi is just an entrypoint to run unsigned code lol I mean, you run Haxchi to boot Mocha but it does not boot the built-in CFW.
Don't get me wrong, I'm also agaist wiiu.guide since its autor does not have a wiiu at all.

Well yes technically true but why on earth would you not run the built in cfw when it does everything mocha does.

To play the devil's advocate, wiiu.guide does NOT say to use Haxchi and Mocha together, at least since the RedNAND method was removed from the site. Currently the Haxchi method on site ignores Mocha completely.
