What is the BEST way of setting up my Micro SD card to be used with my R4 card once it arrives?

This is my R4 card: http://www.nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=143

My Nintendo DS is the really old one, the first ones ever released actually. The model number is: NTR-001

I am a completely noob at this currently, I have more experience on modding Wii's than this, so please be patient with me. lol

How do I place my game roms inside of the micro SD card? How would I place movies/music/homebrew apps etc on it aswell? Are there any usefull homebrew apps even available still after all these years? Do I need to create any folders inside of the root of my micro sd card to add everything? Do I need a program? If so, what the BEST program as of 2017 to use? I'm using Windows 10 32 bit.

Can someone in the comments write down a mini guide for me, or link me to a prewritten guide? Please do not link me to a 3DS, or DSi guide, as I don't want to get confused..

Also once I get my roms inside of the R4 card, can I download the game box art cover? So as I'm looking threw my game collection I can see a visual representation of the game, instead of just boring text. I know you can do it in the Wii using USB Loader GX, but can you for the original NDS?

This is just a side question though, my main concern is undertanding how to drop everything I need into my Micro SD card to be used with my R4 card.

(ALL roms are my own personal backups btw, forgot to mention.)

Thanks in advance!

First, you'll need the kernel which can be downloaded here: http://r4i-sdhc.com/downloade.asp
There are many download on that but keep scrolling until you see this one:

Now click on whatever language you want and it'll start the download
Unpack the contents to your microSD card and now you can use the cart provided that the microSD card is FAT32
It doesn't have any roms yet so find some of those
You can place them immediately in the root of your microSD card but I would prefer making a seperate folder either labelled 'nds' or 'games' to seperate them from homebrew should you choose to place some
Once you've placed the roms, you can now use your cart to play them.

THANK YOU. I have 4 quick questions left if you don't mind?

1. If I want to insert a full 100% complete game save that I find online to a certain game, how would I do that? 2. You said that the micro sd card needs to be Fat 32, does the cluster size matter? My card is a class 10 32GB sandisk micro SD card. 3. Can my R4 card run emulators? Such as GBA, SNES, etc? If so, where in the sd card do I drag and drop the emulator program, and the roms and saves folders for that emulator? 4. Can I title it Nintendo DS, or is it strickly stuck to "nds" and "games" as the only potential titles?

Thanks again!

1. You need to make sure that the save file has the same name as the ROM (e.g: If the game is Pokemon Platinum.NDS, the save should be Pokemon Platinum.sav. There are instances where a save file doesn't work due to it being another file type or save format. You need to use a converter for those saves but most of the time you should be fine.
2. I usually just set the cluster size to default as those work the best based on my experiences.
3. There are problems when it comes to emulating certain consoles/handhelds such as the SNES and GBA. If you want to emulate those on the NDS, you're better off using the DSTWO because those have added CPU and RAM for better emulation. Gericom is working on something similar to a GBA emulator but it's not yet done, I believe.
4. You can title it whatever you want. Those are only my suggestions. Choose a name that best suits the folder.

If you have anymore questions, I'd be glad to answer them!
