OP
I have save files from my old games on my wii but then i lost the discs so i use the games now in usb loader gx but it wants me to create a new save for the games even though i already had one from the disk game. How can i use my old saves from the disc game through usb loader gx.

That sounds to me as if you got a different region game.
Games use a "name" based on letters and numbers depending on the project's name, the developer, and the region.

For example:
RMGE01 > Super Mario Galaxy 1 -RMG- Project name -E- Region (U.S.A.) -01- Developer (Nintendo)
RMGP01 > Super Mario Galaxy 1 -RMG- Project name -P- Region (PAL) -01- Developer (Nintendo)

In order for a savefile to work with a game, both the region of your game and your save need to match.

Check your backups to see if this is your problem.

EDIT: As for the name of the project in the example above (now that just crossed my mind)... I could argue that RMG is for "Revolution Mario Galaxy", Revolution standing for Wii's original name.

as @MaeseJesus explained, it's just a matter of using the games of the region you had, i think australia uses the pal versions? (correct if i am wrong)
so if you had pal games and trying to use NTSC isos, it will not see the saves...
wii saves are stored into the wii NAND memory, not the SD card... make sure you still have them in there (you can check this in the options\savedata manager or someting similair forgot exactly where)

So a solution to this would be getting my regions version of the game? Where would I be able to get this.

no one here can tell you where to find them because the gbatemp rules... you should be able to find them in the same place you found the current games you have on the hdd?
roms usually are well marked about the region
however yes. the easiest solution is to download isos of your region (australia either uses NTSC or PAL, check what you downloaded, and get the other version)
and to double check, check in the save data manager if your saves are still there (in the wii memory, not the sd card)
