How were you doing it on a9lh? You can probably do it the exact same way. If you were using a Luma payload then just find the equivalent in firm format or convert the bin to firm yourself.

Can't remember off the top of my head but it involved going to system settings and the exiting holding x.

Were you booting Decrypt9? If so just find a firm version and do the same thing. Except you'll hold Start instead of X and then select it from the Luma chainload menu.

I manged to fix it by redowloading the boot.firm and using that do go into godmode and follow along the guide. However now I can only boot into sysNand. So I got no clue what is going on and the guide is not helping :(

Edit: After reading through the guide again it seems that I have skipped over the step to back up my Emunand, I still got a full back up of my SD card, but I think it is lost :/
Could you elaborate more on the details what you did?
And if you have any clue which step that might fixed it

I did use CTRBootManager sooo upgrade tutorial then?
Yes but you'd better remove CTRBootManager first
heard reports of it having conflict with the boot process

Guys I have a doubt is the 3DS guide : Updating to Boot9Strap : Section IV - CTRNAND Luma3DS just detailing the steps to make luma sdless ?

I am a bit confused about the necessity of this step

Yes

finally solved the issue that I was having (black screen after attempt to downgrade with 3Down)

restored NAND using GM9, and attempt another downgrade but now with GM9 using this tutorial https://3ds.guide/9.2.0-ctrtransfer#section-ii---ctrtransfer
and IT WORKS, now I can successfully downgraded to 11.2

one minor issue though
what are these blank titles that shown up in my home screen and how to remove them (running them causing 3DS error asking me to power off the system)

Okay, I have a new 3DS XL and accidentally updated to 11.3. I had Luma3ds on emunand and was wondering what my options were in regards to being able to boot back into luma (if it's even possible)

I don't have al9h.

Hey all, thank you for accepting me! Simply Love this site!!! Awesome collaboration of everybody!

I'm REALLY mixed up. A few years ago I got my 8-year old daughter a brand new Nintendo 3DS XL (Black & Blue - Serial SW115...) and it's running sysNAND Ver. 4.3.0-10U right now. I also got her a Gateway card and she's been playing some fun games on it.

Just yesterday I wanted to install the game "Poochi & Yoshi's Woolly World" since she's learning how to knit with her grandma.

Much to my surprise, this game (the USA version) doesn't do anything. Just stays on the 3DS Logo screen like it's "loading" but nothing happens... it's not fun watching that screen for more than a minute. Lol.

Can you point me to the directions? I'm not an expert but I've gotten here so far... (not much I know).

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

You say you've bought a Gateway Card, did you setup and Emunand? If yes, what's the version of EmuNand? Because it looks like the game requires a higher version of firmware.

Hi there joimme! Thank you for responding so quickly!

Well, I did, and I just took out the SD card inside the 3DS XL and pop it in my PC and the "Launcher.dar" file says it was created on July 16th 2016... I don't know where to look for the version... it seems very old, but then again I don't know when was the newest one launched and if it's safe for me to put it on the SD Card and erase the present one.

See now, the date or the version of the Launcher.dat file isn't the same as the version of your EmuNand. EmuNand is literally an emulated Nand, this means when you see the dragon logo of gateway and the home screen appears, you're now in a separate Nand, like a Virtual Machine on PC. So you have to get into the settings of your emunand and at the bottom right of the screen you'll see a number. If that number starts with GW this means you're in the gateway emunand and the number after that is your firmware version.

This system was built so you could update your emunand but keep your sysnand un-updated so you would have an entry point for the hack on the sysnand but play online games on emunand. If you've never updated your emunand, it's probably the same version with your sysnand and that since that version is so old, this MIGHT be the cause of your problem.(I'm no way a pro on 3DS, this is just a guess.) However, DO NOT UPDATE YOUR EMUNAND FROM SETTINGS since gateway only supports emunand up to 11.2 and if you update today it's gonna update to 11.4 and you'll have a black screen until gateway DECIDES to update their launcher.dat file.

There are other ways to update Gateway Emunand to 11.2 without having to update it to the latest 11.4. But as I said, I don't know if this is the source of your problem. You may also want to check out Luma CFW, I'm considering switching to it since it seems a lot easier compared to Gateway.

My advice, write your Emunand Firmware here(GW XX.XX) and maybe other people will try and guess the source of your problem.
