I made a quick thing.

If you installed boot9strap successfully, send me a message with the title "boot9strap badge" and an image showing your successful installation (running Luma 7.1). I will add you to www.boot9strap.com so that when you go to the url www.boot9strap.com?user=yourusername it will say that you're a verified day one installer. You can add the badge found here http://www.boot9strap.com/resources/images/badge.png to your sig (you might not want to right now as it's a bit ugly, I just did a quick hack job in MS Paint, but in future it will be something pretty). In your sig you can have a link called, say, 'day one installer' (or whatever you like) and have it point to www.boot9strap.com?user=yourusername.

If anybody is good at front-end web stuff I'd much appreciate a pretty looking page (you can add pseudocode to say "show this if verified" and "show this if not verified" and I'll take care of the logic). And if anyone is good at Photoshop and wants to make a pretty badge that'd be great too. Otherwise I'll ask a friend of mine when she comes back from holiday.

I'll keep applications open for a week (say ending Sunday 28th May 11:59pm AEST) to give people a chance to notice.

I like the idea, but I'm gonna wait until it's been tested on a large scale and refined. It took me a long time to install A9LH and even then I was scared of doing it. I know sighax is a simpler process, but it still overwrites sensitive areas of the system. I don't feel comfortable installing something that overwrites important parts of the system when it's just been released, and I don't think it should be forced upon people like it is at the moment (with Luma immediately dropping support for A9LH and all)

It doesn't really benefit end users who already have A9LH at the moment anyway. You get maybe a half second faster boot, that most people won't even notice.

All the other benefits are only useful for devs at the moment:
Bootrom dumping? Useless for end users and probably will only ever be useful to devs.
Key dumping however will be useful to end users soon enough (decrypting stuff without a 3DS and such), although at the moment it isn't, as no tools exist to make use of them. Anyway none of the bootrom keys are console specific (as the bootrom itself isn't console specific), so really it only takes someone uploading their bootrom dump or their keys, and a copy of your own OTP (which you will already have if you installed A9LH), and you can decrypt anything.

Can anyone think of any other legitimate uses of sighax that A9LH doesn't already provide? I really can't.

Ummm maybe is not right now for common users like you and me, but in time i guess? Right now is for devs and testers, not common users, kinda like cold boot on wii u. If you don't want to, is fine, just if you want further luma updates you HAVE to, unless someone keeps supporting the a9lh of it, but it won't be official according to @Aurora Wright as from what i learned on my own. It says so on her download page.

So i mean that is one reason. Unless you happy with 7.0.5, then i guess wait until you get more of a reason.
