    <!--sizeo:5--><span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo--><b>Introduction</b><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec-->
Seen as a few fairly anticipated games recently dropped it is time for a new thread.
The homebrew world also had a few developments and as we covered homebrew developments last time ( <a href="http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=202023" target="_blank">http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=202023</a> ) this will be a return of news.

    Idea behind these threads

<!--sizeo:5--><span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo--><b>Nukes and related news as well as less notable releases.</b><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec-->

One new nukes since last post (ABGX now lists 218).

Surprising nobody Lagartija released Army of Two 40th Day shortly after it appeared in p2p circles and got nuked for being a p2p repack, the release was also questioned by a few people so grab the proper if you can.
    Official nuke reason:

NFO for those that want it:

    <u><b>Less notable releases</b></u>
Just the one since last time
A Japanese version of Batman Arkham Asylum that everyone else saw several months back. The release from STRANGE was region free so I guess this is a language thing.
    <a href="http://www.ludibria.com/nfo.php?sys=x36&sysid=2060" target="_blank">ludibria.com NFO link</a>

    <b>XBLA games</b>

    No new scene releases

The roundup has been condensed and added to the useful things to know section. There has been some other development going on though
    Homebrew news

    <u><b>Game updates</b></u>
With the live bans it seems a big need for game updates "offline" appeared and many sites/groups rose to the challenge. This means we have a new section in the 360 releases posts for them. Demos are not really going to be covered.

General info on (offline) game updates

Until next time a placeholder (TU=title update):
    Armored Core 4 (TU 3) NTSC/J (15. Jan 10)

    <b>Additions to ABGX360</b><u></u>
We suggest you use the link below and the abgx360 tool as the site does not use scene naming meaning it can be quite hard to tell entries apart, this is just for reference really (RF= region free)
    ABGX360 ( <a href="http://abgx360.net/verified.php" target="_blank">Web frontend to verified database</a> ) added surprisingly few games:

Vancouver 2010: The Official Videogame of the Winter Olympic Games (RF)
Divinity II: Ego Draconis (US region)

    <!--sizeo:5--><span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo--><b>Releases</b><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec-->

Release dates can be found here: <a href="http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/" target="_blank">http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/</a> although the dates on gamefaqs seem to be slightly "off" and as usual are subject to change at the last moment.
Several big releases are set for release in the near future and as the general consensus was that many had dates pushed back by marketing types we even see some releases ahead of time.

As an aside if possible the NFOs are being sent as unicode/some encoding that will not lose the format if possible which means we may not lose the ASCII art any more (I am far too lazy to make up picture NFOs not to mention I like text), for old ones perhaps <a href="http://shailendra88.blogspot.com/2009/02/how-to-view-nfo-files-in-firefox.html" target="_blank">http://shailendra88.blogspot.com/2009/02/h...in-firefox.html</a> is of some use.

For the new members the general layout of each game here is
    Scene release name (in bold)
Region locking information (rebooter apps can dodge region protection but they are far from available to all so such things are staying)
In previous posts wave information (if known) which is not necessary now everything can run every known game and as such will not be appearing any more.
A short writeup of the game (who made developed/published it, past history of the franchise, if I or one of mine has played it then a quick review). We invite others to comment on games and they frequently do so read their replies as there are many games/genres/franchises and so on I do not care for.
    NFO in spoilers and codebox.

In order of most recent to pre:

    Region free.

SPARE on good form with a game not set to be released until the 22nd, I watched a few trailers before this post <a href="http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/14211557/dark-void/videos/" target="_blank">http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/1421...rk-void/videos/</a> and the only things that kept flashing into my mind was Star Wars: Bounty Hunter for the gamecube (and PS2) and GunValkyrie on the original xbox, I enjoyed both of those games though but whether this will stack up against the releases later this month and the releases of the last few weeks (we have seen several 360 third person action games these last few weeks).

Region locked US only. European compatible release was Divinity_2_XBOX360-CLARE and apparently the Korean version was also English. German versions existed before that.

The US release of an RPG that despite coming among a sea of RPGs (2009 was a good year for all RPG fans), the sort of sequel to the 2002 game Divine Divinity, reviews can best be described as polar if bad is middle of the road with some places awarding good reviews and others saying it is not bad but not good either. I have yet to play it myself but it has been top on my list for a while now.

    Region free.

At present I have only played the PS3 demo of this game and my opinions of that were not overwhelmingly positive- third person shooting games are tough to do and much like the first title this one seemed to rely on scripted events, gimmicks and the controls were not as tight as they could have been. On the other hand it is a co-op game and the hours and hours me and mine have poured into co-op games over the years flicks a little switch inside my head saying play it play it play it.
I could not post about this game and not mention the other recent co-op heavy shooting game Borderlands which in my opinion is a far better game.

    Region free

Did not fare well in front of the critics but sales were apparently quite good. If you asked me though I would probably say the Tony Hawk's pro skater/skateboarding series peaked at 2, had some good ideas in 3 and then went into a nosedive after that only to be dug up and stamped on by EA's SKATE series. Either way it still requires the skateboard controller that does not appear to be sold by itself.

    <!--sizeo:5--><span style="font-size:18pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo--><b>Useful things to know</b><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec-->

This section aims to serve as quick intro to things that are often assumed elsewhere in these threads, it is never going to be a definitive guide so do not consider it as such.

First the current WIP GBAtemp 360 FAQ (not the same one that is stickied), it should cover most questions you might have on the 360 although it too is looking a bit out of date right now:
    <a href="http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=157263" target="_blank">http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=157263</a>
For drive hacking related questions the jungleflasher tutorial is probably the most up to date guide:
    <a href="http://jungleflasher.net/downloads.html" target="_blank">http://jungleflasher.net/downloads.html</a>

    <a href="http://pix.gbatemp.net/32303/XBOX360.Release.Standards.2007.v1.340.png" target="_blank"><img src="http://pix.gbatemp.net/32303/XBOX360.Release.Standards.2007.v1.340.png.tn.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /></a>
Click on the image and it will load up the full picture.
Some sections of the scene also use the general console release standards as well as the 360 ones. Realistically it is only the problems with the isos that you need to be worried about and even then some can be fixed (simple things like no/bad .dvd file) but we will leave it up to you to determine what you consider acceptable.

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

Thanks for all the hard work you put into these posts, FAST. However, please don't take this the wrong way, but I think it could be organized a little more cohesively. After a while, it just starts looking like one huge block of text. I suggest maybe summarizing a few things and definitely use lots of spoiler tags for the people who only want to see certain things (game releases, homebrew news, etc)

Any news on a new exploit for the banned consoles? Is anyone even trying?

No news. I'd guess people are trying, but I doubt you'll hear anything unless one was found. General opinion seems to be there won't be another hack or if there is it won't be for a long, long time. So if you really want homebrew, my advice would be to go and buy an exploitable box now while they are still around.

Although saying that, the same people saying there won't be a new hack/won't be for a long time, were also the same people telling us for months and months that the lite-on drive wouldn't be hacked and it was all over, and we know how that ended.

Yeah I noticed that these posts had become seriously bulky as well when checking some of the past threads. Will edit this one and see.
