Ok so, I've been breaking my head for 2 days straight with this...

I purchased this Hard Drive off of eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/110898107749?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT and then this Sata enclosure http://www.ebay.com/itm/331502260675?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT to be used for my modded 4.3u Wii.

My end goal was to play GC games on Nintendont, N64 games on Not64 and other retro emulators using my 2TB hard drive within the 3.5" sata usb 2.0 enclosure. Take note that I was previously playing EVERYTHING perfectly using my old 500GB HDD using Sata Cables to connect it to power and to usb, but unfortunately I blew it out due to me putting the power wire upside down.. (I blame the cheap soft plastic Chinese power wire that didn't stop me from placing it backwards)

So, I received both the HDD and the enclosure after a few days, placed it all in carefully connected it to my Windows 10 laptop, formatted the drive to MBR then gave it a simple volume, then I formated it to FAT32 with 32bit Clusters without creating any partitions as I want the entire drive to be Fat32 and I don't want to share it with anything other than my Wii. I then placed 1 GC game inside using DM toolbox and 4 N64 games (Just to test it out)

SO I connect it the correct usb port on the Wii and the game shows up on Nintendont seemingly fine.. but as I click on the game everything says 100% like it previously did with my old 500GB drive, but then it black screens, and all 4 lights light up on my motionplus Wiimote and it stays like that untill I turn off my Wii. So I tried Not 64, and the games work but there is a slight lag to them.. lag wasn't as apparent in the 500GB HDD, but it could be my imagination.. not sure.. after all this I could be going crazy.

So I tried formating it back to NTFS then back to FAT32 with 32bit clusters a TON of times using a different program to format to FAT 32 each time, and each time.. same results. I mean I used about 6 different programs to format to FAT32 and still nothing.

I then read online that Hard Drives above 2TB need to be 64bit clusters.. oooook?? That doesnt sound right..not for GC games atleast but um.. sure why not.. at this point my mental sanity is about to leave me so I tried 64bit clusters and guess what happened? You guessed right... NOTHING different. I even went as far as to taking the HDD out of the enclosure and testing it with my Sata to USB cable with the power brick that I used for the 500 GB drive and yup, same result.

I NEED to get this working within the next 4 days... PLEASE help me solve this problem.
I KNOW for a FACT that it is NOT the Wii or the enclosure that's causing this, but the 2TB HDD. Also fun fact: I spent the last of my saving on this HDD and enclosure.. so I don't have money to just spawn more, and I really don't want to send it back as I'm on a time limit.. can anyone please help??? Thank you in advance!!

If the partition size is causing the problem why not split the drive into two partitions fat32 for gc and ntfs for Wii games.

That's the thing, I DON'T KNOW what the problem is... maybe it's the partition size? Maybe not? I have no clue. Also I would rather keep one partition of Fat32, or is there a valid reason for me to split it? Also I would be using Wii backup Manager for Wii games which would make the games wbfs format. So I would be able to use them in Fat32 fine. The reason I would rather have just 1 partition is also because idk what other emulator games I may need to fit or a certain partition such as PS1 or Dreamcast etc. so the last thing I would want is for a partition to get filled to the brim and I run out of space..

I am open to reconsider though, given a good enough reason to split the partitions. IF partitions are even the problem in the first place...

I think Nitendont got exFAT support last year but I don't think it's been added to any of the Wii backup loaders yet,
does USB Loader GX work on your drive to load Wii games with your fat32 partition?

SOLVED: Ok guys. I guess all of this wii modding, and PC fixing, and..um.. life in general has gotten to my sanity.

Here it goes... I derped. Hard. So hard.

Long story short. I was testing out my 2TB external HDD with a corrupted Japanese fighting game on Nintendont.. causing me to think my HDD was faulty when no, it was the game that was black screening. *face palm* I mistook the corrupt iso for the good iso. (I guess I ended up deleting the good iso by mistake.) I spent a DAY redoing my HDD about 15 or more times when I had it perfect the first time. -_-

How did I notice? When I tried another game just cause, and then it all came to me.

and it was at that moment that DeadlyRevengexX knew.. that he had f.........
