Textures to create icons for themes of 3ds with quality of official themes.

Below I leave a package with 4 files, which will allow to create any type of texture for themes of 3ds, with the same quality of the official themes.

I made available all the effects that can be found in the textures of the official themes.
The folder textures have been updated, the files have several effects that can be edited.
The border textures have also been updated, you can now create two types of borders. The second type and border with perforation.
I added new effects to border textures.
Any doubts leave a comment.
Click here to download the textures.

@miraclaime Sorry for the delay, I had some problems.

Other tutorials can be accessed here.

Take a look at this topic, have several tutorials that explain how to create all items for customized themes.
https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutoria...e-quality-of-official-nintendo-themes.460823/

Sorry for the SUPER late reply, just wanted to say thank you for the files to download! The folders + borders especially helped a ton! I'll maybe go back and add custom folders/borders to some of my older themes another time.

Gonna see if I can get more themes up in a few days (been slow with progress lately, my bad) and dump all my newer ones in this thread, then take a break from Kirby themes and make some different ones afterwards? I wanna... get some more Mother themes up.... some day.......

Thank you, I usually do, only two Themes per week.
I made available new files to create the textures, I put all the effects of the official themes. If you want to download, take a look at https://gbatemp.net/threads/custom-theme-thread.377399/page-336#post-7307327

A Getter Robot theme....i love you.
I wish there is an official theme but unfortunaly Getter Robot is 0% waifu material so for today standard is no good. I confort my self with your theme even if i have the problem that i don't know what BGM use becouse i fucking love all the sound you choose.
I like your themes too, especially Momotarou one. I'm fan of the series. Momotarou Densetsu for PS1 is one of my favourite JRPG of all the time, also the NES english-translated one.

Yes, Robo Getter is manly anime, so theres not so much place for fan service kind of stuff in it. Though, i've heard there will be "Getter Robo High". It's manga about Mahjong, official spin-off of Getter Robo series drawn by artist that is known of Robo Getter hentais. Also theres that thing - "Robot Girls Z".

I will eventually make theme for every song if I get any cool idea.
Ive used 8 bit versions of songs, because sound quality is not that dramatically decreased when you use lower Hz conversion, so I can convert full song without shortening it. At least it sounds fine for me, as for someone who enjoy raw GB chiptunes.

Anyway, I've updated my Getter theme, fixed misaligned background image scroll a bit, and added loop to all bgm.

Initially i didn't know how to make bgm loop until I found it in the Looping Audio Converter documentation. You have to make loop.txt containing file name, sample numbers taken from Audacity and then place it in the same folder as .exe , before conversion.
Is there any easier way to add loop to tracks?

Robo Getter bgm looped:

CHANGE! bgm: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0lCBybvbM8fSXRKZlJZaTNhdWc
HEATS bgm: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0lCBybvbM8fam00NzRaRlZrd3c
STORM bgm: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0lCBybvbM8fUDJRYjdYVEwzQjA
NEW DRAGON bgm: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0lCBybvbM8feDhwZElnODE4LUU

(Had to speed up it a bit to fit in the 3mb file limit size)

Updated Getter theme with default bgm "Now is the Time" download:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0lCBybvbM8fcUhaSzFfWWJfWUk

Improved a bit the scrolling of background, and changed some SFX
Open lid = Go shout: Open GET!!
Launch app = Kei shout: SHIN Getter vision!
(Shouts are sound rips from SRW games)

I will update links in the previous post.

NEW THEME:

(In the 3ds screens are aligned correctly)

Art by Masamune Shirow.
Anna & Uni are from Tank Police, the other guest mecha girls are from pre-Appleseed artbook concept arts, with altered colors by me to better fit color scheme.
Weapons on the bottom screen are sketches from Tank Police artbook.

(These two additional characters look way better in the 3ds.)

Thanks to Ryomaru "scrolling screens" tutorial I was able to make it.

Includes: bgm, sfx, folder/icon.
BGM "Harbor Town Tough Guy" from "New Dominion Tank Police OST"
preview: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0lCBybvbM8fS1h2Yi1URlhlTzQ/view

(good track for loop, loops very well)

I forgot to put in the tutorial on rolling images, the method that allows to change the image after its completion.

Yo, I'm having a problem uploading a theme in 3DSThem.es which is this.
preview1.png

It's a theme that uses the "Soild color and Texture" screen type, and when I tried to upload it it gives me this error
"An error has occurred while parsing the theme/music file."
So when I uploaded a different theme, it normally uploaded.
Anyway will this bug be fixed so I can upload this theme?

does the bgm respect the bgm size limit? It must be that. Remember that the size must be below 3,292 kb

I always compress and convert my bcstms under "3.3MB", and it shouldn't given me that certain error if that the bgm was too big.
And yes I checked, my bgm is "1.25MB".

what tool do you use to create the .bcstm files? if you use brstm/bcstm conversion tool it may give issues when setting a custom loop to the file (not entirely sure though, just a result of my experience with it)

The same converter I use for all my themes, "YATA+".
I tried reconverting the BGM twice.

I like to use LoopaudioConverter, this converter allows to make several configurations.

I dropped the use of yata+ as bcstm converter and moved to LAC (although converting to brstm first then convert brstm to bcstm with yata+ should work, it's kinda pointless now as well since you can export .bcstms directly from brawlbox...). Try using Looping Audio Converter or Brawlbox to recreate the bgm file

Yeah I tried uploading the theme without the bgm and using a different bgm, and it still gives me that error.
Honestly I think the theme is not compatable to be uploaded in 3DSThem.es is the cause of the error, and it works perfectly fine on my New 3DS XL.

I see... then try recreating the theme by reimporting the stuff

Edit: I'm out of time today sadly, won't be able to help anymore for today

I'm going to launch a new tutorial explaining how to create BGM files without finalization.
Examples
https://3dsthem.es/12798
https://3dsthem.es/12622
https://3dsthem.es/12799
Simple explanation, the song will not have final track.
The songs in these themes do not have track that finalizes the song, the editing process and simple to be executed. You only need to be patient and listen to music from start to finish in the editor so you can perform the procedures that will be covered in the tutorial.
Note: The repeat loop only works in the 3DS, in the 3dsthem.es player, this procedure does not run in the ogg file.

Depend on the music itself i guess, soundtrack games are more easier to make it perfect loop than normal songs (like anime music, song with vocal etc)
