Official hakchi2 - NES Mini very simple pimp tool

Hi there. So I'm using the latest version of hakchi2, I followed all the steps correctly but the software never dumps the kernel, it just stays there forever saying "Waiting for your NES Mini...". What could be going wrong?

Edit: Nevermind, the driver wasn't installing correctly. I fixed it and the process is now underway.

Sometimes the game crashes like that if you have a wrong core installed.

For the nes games that dont run on the nes... peeps use the " use_nestopia " core.

Others add " --retroarch " to the command line for the game in hakchi.

Is your retroarch updated ?

What version of hakchi are you using?

I have been just using the cores that came with that download. It doesn't look like use_nestopia core was part of that package. However, I downloaded the mod and am trying it.
What NES core is used by default with the Retroarch mod?

Well. I uninstalled the mods, I flashed the original kernel. Then I performed a factory reset on the mini. Then, I installed only the RetroArch mod and the use_nestopia core. I then installed my 55 games again. It's working now. So, that's good. No more C8 error; no more crash when resetting and running another game.

On my 2nd NESC, I have Neo Geo and CPS2 cores and games only. Games total 339MB, and it runs fine. The cores total 4.6MB, so I take it there is an upper limit of around 350MB for ROMs, additional cores, and saves.

Sounds like you're good to go, but I was using fbalpha, as provided by pcm720. I found that roms from a certain *land bird utopia* website were hit or miss working on the NESC, but roms from a certain French-speaking website always worked. Games like Hyper Street Fighter II, Alien vs Predator, for example.

nesito does plenty vids( in spanish but watching it still makes sense) on here and also others on this thread state step by step how to setup mame2003... mame2003 wants mame0.78 romsets for starters .. all those games you want im running and its mainly because i have the correct romset and changed the command line argument to '' /bin/mame2003 '' on each game .zip you install... my blog will have more info and tips over time as i install diff things but search on this thread theres plenty good tips here.

Good to hear ! Sorry I didnt reply again..I havent been on since yesterday. Sometimes it's one thing or another that makes us frustrated for hours..lol..I often wonder why I sit here for eternity even to get one game going that refuses to work, or crashes everytime I play it..haha.

I have a few games like that..unzip the rom..unzip the sounds..put the files in a new folder...rename the new folder to the name of the rom....zip it using 7zip, and add it to the games list in hakchi and add it as an archive.
