Official hakchi2 - NES Mini very simple pimp tool

I had this issue too. I ended up having to do a factory reset from within the nes classic menu. It cleared out whatever files where stuck in there ( including old savestate files) and then it loaded up just fine.

So after doing the factory reset within the nes classic menu, you still had all your games, but just had to select language and all your save states were gone. Folders and everything were intact?

EDIT: All save states are now gone. Not a big deal as I don't do much saving, but if you are having problems with errors, due to save states from previous games this will help.

On my 2nd NESC, I have Neo Geo and CPS2 cores and games only. Games total 339MB, and it runs fine. The cores total 4.6MB, so I take it there is an upper limit of around 350MB for ROMs, additional cores, and saves.

After finally having some time to use 2.14, I ran into a problem. Started from scratch. Works great except an issue. Pretty much all my mame roms work except any from CPS1 and CPS2 in which what I really wanted. I used cores like fb alpha, fb alpha cps2, mame2003, mame2003 mini. I tried uninstalling all mods and reinstalling theme. When I was on 2.13, I loaded them up manually through Retroarch and they worked fine. I'm totally lost.

I can get metal slug x to work with FBA but not mamemini. Why? EDIT: by trying mamemini and it not working and going back to fba it somehow fixed the glitch of not being able to reset to home! Now I don't need mamemini.

Just tested for you, works fine here with MAME2003 mini core. I send a DM how i got it working.

So snes 2005 also has some roms where the save slot loads game but music dies like zombies ate my neighbours.. but castlevania 4 works ok?! Interesting....

You need to change the path, if they works trough retroarch and not from the menu launcher the path is not good. For CPS1 & CPS2 the paths are bin/cps1 and bin/cps2.

Is the file inside your Hakchi folder ? Hakchi2/data/fes1.bin.

So the file is there and you still got the same error ? Try to move your Hakci2 folder to your desktop and run Hakchi2 as administrator.

I'm not as savvy at this stuff as most of you. I'm having an issue. I have loaded about 55 games onto the NES mini. All of them are NES games.
One of the games is Gauntlet, which doesn't run on the stock NES mini emulator. Once Retroarch mod came out in Hakchi, this game run.
However, when I have Gauntlet "installed" on the NES mini, I am experiencing a weird error. The NES mini loads up fine, and I can play any game. However, if I restart the mini (either pushing the button combo on the controller, or the reset button), and then go to play any other game, the thing crashes (error C8). This happens when playing ANY game, not just gauntlet. If I remove gauntlet, the error stops. I don't have any other games supposedly accessing Retroarch to run.
Anybody have ideas on this?

Sometimes the game crashes like that if you have a wrong core installed.

For the nes games that dont run on the nes... peeps use the " use_nestopia " core.

Others add " --retroarch " to the command line for the game in hakchi.

Is your retroarch updated ?

What version of hakchi are you using?
