My friend sent me a message on Steam and apparently some people are working on a PS3 emulator now and they have Catherine and Demon's Souls running on the PC. It's some pretty crazy shit to look at, I'm surprised it's running near full speed somehow lol. They released some videos on their youtube page that has gameplay footage of those games.

I really want to see a cool game like The Last of Us or Metal Gear Solid 4 playable, that would make me retire my PS3 in an instant lol.

probably requires a beast cpu, maybe my next build will have a cpu fast enough :). I think many ps3 games only really use one core, but games like last of us would be trickier.

The Cell CPU the PS3 used was technically "8 cores", one main core and then 7 separate SPEs (which are basically CPU cores). PS3 games ran using 7 cores, the main core plus 6 SPEs.

Define a beast cpu? how much do PCS with a beast cpu cost?
The CPU used in the official video from RPCS3 was using an i7 6700k, which is like a $350 CPU. The second video used a i7-5930K, which is just under $600 or so.

i have played P2 twice but each time i deleted it off my PSP sine the random encounters are too much

but i really recomend Persona 3 on PS2 or the psp version which is amazing too
Persona 4 Golden on vita is epic
Persona 4 dancing all night on the vita is my hatsune miku lol
Persona Q on 3ds was a GREAT combination of the P3 AND P4 CAST
Persona 3 FES on PS2 was awesome too

i have yet to play Persona 4 Arena and its Sequel but their on my backlog

in regards SMT

Ive played

SMT 4 loved it my 2nd fav 3ds game
SMT FINAL is my favorite 3ds game probably of all time (but that new SMT is coming for switch and another for the 3ds. so we shall see)
SMT Soul hackers was surprisingly pretty great in my opinion since i love Cyber punk.
And So far im loving SMT strange journey on my ds

But we have Persona 5 that is on the horizon and ill be picking that up soon too

the SMT games and its spinoff series are just awesome and something different

Catherine is a great game!
I have all SMT games. I just.love it soo much
Persona Q is a hit/miss for me. Too simple
I suppose it is a matter of opinions or so.
I really thought I was going to love Catherine, then I bought Catherine, I found myself playing some ~20 hours or so (I don't remember very well), I didn't even finish it, I just went up to level 8. I started feeling it was really boring and a chore to play, the story felt flat also.
SMT, I love them. For some reason I have some special affection for Strange Journey.
Persona Q, I also like it, but perhaps because I love Etrain Oddysey-esque dungeon crawlers.

this is totally cool. as redundant as it sounds, I do want to try playing mass effect 3 on ps3 emulator on my pc.

at this rate people probably want a ps3 emulator just to play persona 5 :P

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.

@Xdqwerty, People who create revival services for the Wii end up in disaster, same goes for Pretendo lol.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

Remember when RiiShop was a thing?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
