If you have CFW (and therefore the only way to even play it I believe outwith a genuine JPN 3DS) then there's a team doing an English Patch at the moment which you can install once it's released. These iterations of Monster Hunter aren't too reliant on text if truth be told so if you have any experience with the series then a good bit of it will come naturally.

Yea there security sucks the site gets hacked probably once every 2 months.

I have played a lot of monster hunter, both on the psp and the 3DS, but I felt like I missed out on a lot of relevant info when I tried any of the japanese ones previously. Will prob wait until at least menus are translated I think. Great that these groups are so eager to bring the game to english.

I'm not sure what or how they've been doing it but it looks like as per the most recent post they're even working on it as I type this out. Wouldn't surprise me if they release this in instalments.
