Gaming Zelda breath of the wild update?

I have been playing the game for 3 days now and when I started the game today, I was greeted with a preparing update notice.
I have the Internet blocked through the router and also have the Dns bypass.
My question is why and would it be safe to continue?

But what would be updating if I had all of the servers and dns blocked?
The game update is installed or I wouldn't be able to play the game.
I am too afraid to let it finish preparing so I unplugged it.

The Update is a new One its 1.1.0 the known Updates are that it Shows like DLC Avaible or something

It should be safe but you could wait for the Official release if you want to be 100% Safe

I experienced the same. I installed the game and the update coming with it and have been playing for two days. I also have the servers blocked and got the update notification today. Luckily it gave an error as expected and I could continu laying without updating.

Yeah if you want to be 100% Safe download it after the Game got officialy released

You just downloaded it clean from the Wii U when starting the game?? Or did you use USB helper?

I installed the update from USB helper and now my console won't load past the initial Wii u screen. The gamepad connects, and it gives video signal, but it freezes. Any ideas? or is this a bad section to ask in?

If you installed it to USB. Try booting the Wii U with the USB drive not plugged in.

If you installed it to the nand... I don't know.

I just tried installing the patch. I installed the update to where the game is saved on and I get this error:

Install failed
Uv32
Verify WUP files are correct and complete. Dlc /e shop require sig patch

I am pretty new to modding the Wii u so I don't really know how to fix this, can someone help?

Yeah, I also got this new update. How does this all work? I never updated a game (only played Xenoblade X earlier), do I need to download it and install it with GX2 or can I just let the Wii U download and install? This is NOT the 2GB update but the day one patch or whatever we should call it.

I got this same error when I tried to install the update to NAND instead of USB by accident. Well, first it failed because I didn't have enough space on NAND, then when I told it to install on the USB drive it failed with this error.

What I did to solve this was manually download the 1.1.0 update via PC for the game region I have installed, then install it via WUP installer mod Y. It worked fine, too.

Tried with no hdd and no dice still stuck on wii u logo screen update went fine when i installed it.
