Hacking Which version should I be looking to buy?

I think Gateway would get shit on less if they just added FIRM protection to their A9LH payloads. Right now, Gateway requires an EmuNAND to not be a massive brick risk.

It still wouldn't likely be worth buying one, but at least it wouldn't be actively harmful.

Could I use the included micro sd-card for the Luma cfw? Or is it recommended to use another sd-card? There are no vital information stored on the included sd card (it´s a brand new 3ds)? Just want to make sure I don´t screw anything up..

You really want an SD card bigger than 4 GB once you have it hacked, so get a new one. I currently have a 32 GB one myself, but I wouldn't mind getting a 64 GB in the future (32 GB is pretty cheap, 64 GB is not much more https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Sele...qid=1487668179&sr=8-4&keywords=64+GB+micro+sd). Keep in mind you will need to format it to FAT32, 32K allocation size (link to guiformat in 3ds.guide main page).

all you need to do is to format it to FAT32 then it will work. Windows built-in format only allows 32GB formatting so a different formatting program must be used.

For future reference it is not a must but a may and its windows built -in gui format only allows, not windows built-in only allows.

Command line in windows works fine to format over 32gb drives. I believe 16tb is the limit in fat and a command in windows should have no issues eg 'format /FS:FAT32 X:

That is not an issue? This wasn´t written before 11.3 was relased? Just don´t want to screw anything up. Googled it and I found a lot of different answers which makes me unsure. Because I´d like an answer for the rest of the questions and not just that part. The guide was written (or at least updated) after 11.3 was released? Some say it's safe and some say it's not. I just want to know it's safe to update even after 11.3 was released and that it won't break any homebrew possibilities. Hell the guide starts with the statement that you are beeped if you got 11.3...

Yeah, you are beeped if you got 11.3... before starting the guide. It's just like saying "if you don't have a screwdriver, then you can't unscrew this and do that", it doesn't mean you still need a screwdriver once you "unscrewed this and did that". The stuff you installed with the guide allows you to get any firmware in a "hackable state". So that's why homebrew was temporarily broken on 11.3 for everyone but then CFW users (and you're one of those now) could enjoy it again thanks to what this guide gives.

I just found "the date". There is a "source" link at the bottom of the home page, and you can see that there were commits even today lol. But yeah, that's not really what I thought about when I mentioned the fact there should be a date somewhere. And due to its "open-source"ness and the fact it's text and not a video, it's guaranteed that it will be updated. And you can see in the commits that there isn't one guy only behind everything. The only problem is if you try to follow that guide very little time (less than a day) after a new firmware is out maybe.
And of course 11.4 will break homebrew, that's what updates are for
