I think the correct way to phrase it would be “was the first to achieve ...” While I also find the wording unfortunate, I understand the intention behind it
Hey, unfortunately English isn't my first language. Apologies if it came out the wrong way. I have edited the post to sound less... aggressive?

Thanks for pointing it out!

Is there a way to turn off shaders compiling messages?
The new UI re-write will have this. I can understand how this gets annoying after a bit of time.

@Raibatsu First of all love the emulator and thanks for all the hard work. Out of all the Azahar emulators that are out for switch homebrew, for the games i play i like the way your emulator deals with shaders the best.

I am on the latest version, but for some reason I can't figure out how to go back to game list after starting a game. Unless i'm not reading correctly, when I start a game and pause and go to menu, I want seem to find a way back go game list to select a different game. I see an option to exit emulator, but I don't want to exit emulator. On the menu theres an option "+ Exit Emulator" which works and exits emulator. Also theres "- Reset to Library" but when i press - I only get message saying "Reset to Library Values" which is not the thing I want. I was thinking it means reset emu to library/list of games.

On dekopon menu, theres an option to exit to library, so I was thinking the option on Raika "- Reset to Library" would be the same as exit to library.

Hey, thank you so much for your kind words - I really made a lot of effort making sure the shader compiling was reduced as much as they could be. I hate stuttering as much as you all too. Hopefully I'll find another breakthrough and we'll have a much better experience in the future.

Regarding the option to exit to Library - it doesn't exist yet. I had a few issues with the emulator crashing and memory leak due to how the UI was being handled before. I purposefully made it so that it exits back to home screen.

My new UI update - which should arrive in a few days - is written completely from scratch. It will have the option to Exit to library menu and many more quality of life options.

Once again, thank you for trying my emulator out, have a lovely day!

I tried your emulator again and some games are running better than on other 3ds emulators for switch. I like the per game config a lot 👍🏼

Would you consider adding a screen overlay option as a screen layout? Its great for games with a minimap as a second screen

It would be cool if you could add a quick screen-switching function for single-screen mode, like ZR + ZL.
like when playing on azahar pc pressing F9, swap screen.

i'm using Overclock Erista V1, Raika runs so much welll.
this is a Great Emu

Hey, thank you for trying it out, have you tried using the layout editor? it allows you to layer your screen on top of each other and you can set the opacity yourself for each screen.

That's certainly a good idea, I'll add that option for the next update. Thank you!

so the emulator works very well, i played OOT3D with the singel sceen mod. the mod also ofers additional 4K Textures, but if i add them nothing seems to change. i was expecting it to rash or lag...anyone else tried that?

I'm already using the mode of only one screen and switching from it with L3.

I left only two view modes active and set it to switch with this button.

But tico has a great solution, which is to combine the minus button with L and ZL to swap screens, or rotate horizontally. I would love for azahar to have the same option.

Again, thank you for the project. I'm very advanced in metroid 2. I stopped playing on 2ds years ago because I thought the screen resolution was too low and now it's been a wonderful experience to play on switch. It's still not perfect emulation, but it surpasses the original 2ds experience. Thank you very much

Oh it completely slipped my mind. I did in fact add that a great while ago.

Press L3 + minus keys. Next update, all this functionality will be fully remappable

Does the flickering happen with Right Eye rendering turned on too?

The app has been updated to V2.5.0.

Version Number: 2.5.0

This is a smaller shader rewrite. You will have crashes if you don't clear your shader cache after this update.

  • Rewrote the UI from scratch. It uses GPU Composition now, and does not bully the CPU like it did on our previous UI. In idle mode, it uses basically zero power, instead of previously where it would drain close to 0.4W of power in idle. This does not affect power draw in-game since UI is not rendered in-game.
  • Added bunch of options to screen layout editor: per-screen rotation, layering, per-game layout editor, and more.
  • Added a UI for enabling and disabling Mods. This is NOT tested and uses the same backend as Azahar so it should technically work. Please report if it isn't working.
  • Added box art and game description scraping from GameTDB. Game descriptions are scrapped and added in the build by default, you can download the box arts if needed.
  • Fixed a critical issue where it would take 3-4 extra seconds to boot up a game for no reason. The game boots after compiling pipelines is super fast now.
  • Separated save files, ROMs folder,
  • Upstreamed to latest Azahar build as of 18/08/2026.
  • Updated NVK to 26.2.0 latest build.
  • Added option to go back to library from in-game settings.
  • Rewrote a few functions for shader compilation via dynarmic and some in NVK. Reduces stutters slightly after the first huge ones.
  • Completely rewrote the UI input handler. It now supports multi-inputs and all UI controls are now completely remappable.
  • Added many Quality of Life updates and small patches that I genuinely wanted to use for myself.

Hey @Raibatsu, huge thanks for your continuous updates and hard‑work on Raika Azahar! Every new version brings really nice improvements and quality‑of‑life features, it’s been a joy to test this emulator on Switch.

I have one feature request: would it be possible to add bezel/mask overlay support? Custom image mask overlays would be great for simulating the original 3DS frame and improving visual immersion.

Wish you good health and all the best with your future development!

That sounds like a fun feature. Probably. Let me add that to my To-Do list. Thank you!

Hey, much thanks for the project! The performance on Inazuma Eleven games are awesome, literally the only games that i want to play from the 3ds and runs flawless, but i have a question, is there a way to make forwarders? to actually play the game directly from the menu without entering in the app first

uhh i think the recent update broke zelda oot. the game wont boot. it says the rom is unsupported/broken

when it was working just fine in the previous version.

UPDATE: it seem that the single screen mod breaks the game from booting. disabling it cause the game to boot just fine.

Thank you for the update! The new UI looks great and works even with forwarders. There's this one thing however:

Remapping "Cycle Screen Layout" to a button combination makes both buttons cycle through the layouts whenever you use them instead of the combination. It'd be nice to be able to map it to a combo, the same way the default for swapping screens does (ZL + Minus)
