I don't think he was talking about trying coldboothax, but just the iosuhax...
Hes talking about coldboothax by the sounds of it and he is in this thread. I'm just making sure cause he would be gutted if he tried.

Edit: Yes your probably right, he is only talking about cfw but for anyone who is going to give the op a try make sure you follow steps.

@leonmagnus99 Just follow these and you'll be fine :)

You'll have to purchase one of these from e-shop for haxchi to work. You can still do without haxchi, but then you'll need to launch the cfw from hbl using the web browser method every time you boot the console. I recommend using haxchi because it will be useful later when coldboothax gets a decent release.

That's normal, the settings title does reload the Wii U menu when exiting, and since isouhax is already loaded in memory, it will perform the Wii U menu loading in place of the original firmware.

I see .. so it's not loaded in the ram as previous hack

this ^

i did not want to try out this ds stuff XD downlading a demo etc.
thanks for the warning though.

but then again, what is this risk worth of doing this coldboot hax.

does coldboot hax mean , loading the sysNAND cfw mode on every boot ?

If you use the method in this thread by ::Phoenix:: there's no risk, the console will just have to boot twice, that's all. And yes, it's supposed to load cfw instead of sysnand on every boot.

The risk of brick is in not following the steps inthe right way.

I bricked by incorrectly modifying my haxchi title, rip me! I'm trying to wire up my system to flash a nand-backup now, so hopefully it's not a total loss. Otherwise might be time to find a used console on eBay for around $80 :o

Why not add to the main post of the thread a tip that encourages people to test their new fw.img using the haxchi usual method before going all the way into modifying system.xml, in order to avoid bricking accidents like this one??

@KhaderWelaye
Take it easy man! Good luck finding a new console :) Good thing this happened before Nintendo releases a new firmware.

Cool! Man, once you fix the double boot issue, this'll be the holy grail of wii u hacks! :D

Cant understand why he dont test this before

Many of us have gone completely haywire with everything that's going on in those past few days. Everybody just can't wait to get their hands on the next thing that comes out. I really can't blame him, I almost did the same thing :D
