Hello everyone, I am trying to install the HBL in my USA console to use it directly from the Wii U, without the need of the internet or the network, I saw a tutorial on youtube but says that at the moment it is only for EUR consoles, so I was investigating a bit more and I entered the thread of Cyan that shows the HBL developed by Demok, there is a part that says it can be installed with WUP Installer, but what I can not find is the encrypted package to install it, because when I enter the part Download, I do not see those files in order to install it in SysNAND or RedNAND, someone who has installed and tested?, perhaps could address me where to find those files?

Note: this was the HBL thread that I was reading http://gbatemp.net/threads/homebrew-launcher-for-wiiu.416905/

What do I need?

Please:

1. Encrypted package to be installed in SysNAND or RedNAND.
2. Does it work for USA console?
3. How safe it is, does anybody report any brick with this metho?
4. What will be better, to istall in SysNAND or RedNAND?

Thanks in advance...!!!

First of all, your going to want haxchi. Haxchi is a DS VC content modification which allows access to homebrew and fw.img loading without a network. Click on the link with FIX94 in it. You will have to buy a DS Game. But in the github link if you have a compatible game, go to releases and choose the zip for your game. Download it and rename the zip name to rom. So it's like rom.zip now

Then to install, use this installer to install haxchi easily. Use the downloaded rom.zip and replace the one in the folder. Run the py script (You need Python 2.7 btw). The installer itself is pretty self explanatory. But have wupserver fw.Img running in the Wii U's background. Do the instructions in the installer and all should go well!

Warning! There have been reported bricks using this. If you decide to use haxchi, then proceed with caution.

Here's the link address for the latest RC2 NUS files for Homebrew Channel>http://www13.zippyshare.com/v/uK72mpna/file.html

I just installed it via IOSUHax but it wont work on systemnand, it just gives an error when you click on it I think at the moment its only supposed to work on sig_checked. I would suggest go with the Contenthax with a game of choice and install Dimoks latest Homebrew elf file on your sd card, its a lot better and works on on the system menu also you can install a config file alongside and choose buttons on your gamepad to launch apps so for example you could choose "R" button for Rednand and say "L" button for IOSUHax and so on... and it will launch your app of choice perfectly, without fault!

I tried with the same file but gives me an error ,did you run fw.img with signature patches before the installation? I did that and doesn't work for me

Yeah it did not for me either, it just errors out on systemnand I installed it with wupserver fw.img not Rdnand. I don't think its even supposed to work on systemnand, only with sig_Patched firmware, I just wanted to try it but I think Contenthax is a better method anyway I would stick with that if you have it.

My mistake, I've just been seeing so many posts with subjects saying "Don't mess with coldboothax" that I just assumed it was coldboothax that was unstable.

Haxchi is perfectly safe. Coldboothax is not entirely, because in the procedure you edit the system.xml to tell the wii u to boot from the haxchi'd title and if you mess something up in there or if you don't check if the modified title actually work (that could lead to a permanent black screen) there's a pretty good chace of bricking your wii u.

Got it, I assumed coldboothax and haxchi were the same thing. Good to know.

Maybe it's better to keep all HBL related message in the official HBL thread?
Dimok is releasing "release candidate" of his installable channel, and want users to report bugs in order to officially release it (and then I'll add the link to the first post)

If users reply here because of issues or error or bug, dimok might not see them.

I'll lock this thread, please use the official one :)
And, BoxNinPlay, the link was in the last page of the topic, released by Dimok himself.
before trying tools, it's good idea to read a little about it, at least the first post + last few pages to see if there are any progress or updates, or bugs, etc.
it's still in development, it would be nice to report if it works fine or have bugs to dimok so he can release it officially.
