Hacking I think I bricked my N3DS and it now has the blue screen of death.

I have a HUGE problem on my hands. I've tried to follow Plailect's guide on downgrading via hardmod. I followed it all the way down to verify the kernel and FIRM version. They didn't match the guide, so I tried to start all over again.

When I started over again, I got to the part where I had to flash the patched_nand.bin. When I kept trying to flash it, I was getting an error about the drive not being ready yet.

I decided to try to reset my N3DS without the adapter in the port, but now the N3DS starts up with the blue screen even without the adapter or SD card in it! I tried to use Win32 Disk Imager to flash any nand.bins I have, but I keep getting an incorrect function error through the disk imager even though I ran the program as admin.

It looks like I bricked my N3DS, and I can't even flash any of my back-ups back into it. Does anyone know if I'm pretty much screwed or not? :(

Seems like the process to write NAND back started but got interrupted, thus giving you a BSOD. Re-check all your soldering, check your nand dumps (you did more than one...right?) and try to re-flash your device.

I didn't do the hardmod myself, so I don't know how to check the soldering done to my N3DS. I have many different NAND dumps, so I'll check them again when I'm home.

It sounds like a bad hardmod, or incompatible SD reader.
Don't worry, as long as you have a valid NAND backup, it can be fixed.

Put some pictures of the frankenSD and the lenght of the wires here.
Also what SD adapter are you using?

But I reiterate what I told you above: if you're just trying to force it and it's not working, maybe you should consider to send it to someone more experienced in hardmods.

What error is your BSOD stating exactly?

Sorry, I don't know how to properly link and show the picture in the post, but you should be able to see the error code in the picture, though.

That should show you my set-up. I got the SD reader that was recommended in the hardmod thread.

Hundshamer was the one who hardmodded my N3DS XL, so I believe he has a pretty good idea on what he was doing. I'm sad that something went wrong with my hardmod, but I don't think I want to bother him about fixing it since I'm sure he has enough on his plate trying to hardmod everyone else's 3DS.

If you could recommend me some ideas on how to fix my N3DS or show me where I can go to find someone to help me fix this, then I would be grateful to you.
