ps sorry for my English typing to fast, hopefully giving a solution to the problem even takes long for those desperate to use this amazing tool thanks to the creator

made a backup of my town so that I can go back and forth between the updated and non-updated versions, I recommend that you guys do the same so that you dont risk losing your towns :)
I tried it with Powersaves and it worked like a charm. Haven't tested it with Homebrew yet

i am testing with homebrew now, thanx for the feedback in powersaves pretty awsome way to do it backing up old saves

Hey guys so it looks like both the online and offline editors are totally incompatible with the new update. The save file format has changed some I'd guess. The name of the files at least is different. garden.dat has changed to garden_plus.dat and there is a new file called updated.dat that wasn't there previously.

If we want to do mod our saves all of it must be done before updating for now. That seems the only way to get it to work short of waiting for the tool makers to update their editors, which hopefully they will be happy to do. :D

i just want to edit my villagers back in if they move hopfully we can do this again soon. i have a backup of my save before the update.

the save editor will be compatible with the new update if everything goes smoothly, it will just take some time so i suggest doing any editing to your town before updating or just wait to update until the save editor is confirmed working

I've been out of the loop for a long time. Is there a way yet to hack ACNL with the latest firmware on A9LH/Luma?
You can't hack right now with the latest GAME update, but you can hack on the latest firmware before updating your game. Just use something like JKSV to get your save :-)

I tested with the homebrew and it works, but the process its time consuming you need JK's Save Manager this save manager i used to make this to work with edit ram tool , what i did to make it work is:

1. Play the game and then save i(of course exit).
*2. Go to homebrew, then go to Jk's Save Manager select save data option then go export your saves(Please have back up of your saves before you edit).
3. In the app jk's save manager you will see option that say delete save data press to delete save data.(before you do this i recomend to put save data files its folder in to your computer for safe keeping)
4. Exit homebrew and go back to your 3ds home menu then go to system settings.
5. Go to data management, then select the option nintendo 3ds and in download content you are going to delete animal crossing new leaf update.
6. then you take your SD card to the computer get copy garden.bat like you normally do to use edit ram tool.
7. save it back to he folder that you got the file and then delete you got delete the files amiibo.dat,garden_plus.dat,updated.dat.
8. put sd back to the 3ds boot homebrew go to save manager and import the folder that you used to edit the save files.
9. Go to 3ds play the game and there you go you have all the things your inventory or villagers imported to your town.

all this as been done with the physical cartridge for me it work normally no corrupted data of the game, i havent tried to do it digitally but i am going to do it.

ps gonna do my best to explain it better later and sorry for my english this was all at the moment i havent sit re-write this.

cool. thanks for that. I am back up and running, no trouble :D

except my town is garbage since I converted it into a maze so all my acres and house locations are horribly placed :(

I suppose if anything you could see if Nook would buy it, unless you have important stuff.

(assuming you're updating)

I can confirm that NTR no longer works. If you manage to get past the 3DS Splash Screen, opening the cheat menu on either the "Welcome Amiibo!" front or inside a building crashes your game and gives you the "An error has occurred, hold down the POWER button to turn of the power, then turn it on and try again." message.

The plugins offsets are now wrong which is why its crashing the game. If you can get to the plugin menu then that means NTR is working...

* Please keep this topic to talk about the editor. This is not the place to talk about your game not loading or broken savegames.

* Also, stop PMing me asking when the editor will be ready. Thank you.

* I have already it working for the new format (missing a few features though), but there still a lot to do.

* RAM support may come at a later point.

---

Can anyone help datamining the new item list and villager list?
