What would be amazing is if they found a way to exploit the hardware BEFORE the system menu starts...once the CFW side is implemented hopefully with SALTs tools, and possibly then after that a coldboothax + redNAND setup would be nice..

That way they could in theory patch the system menu on the fly in memory just like Luma3DS does for the 3DS...
But that would require something like A9LH for Wii U and I don't even know if that'd be possible... hopefully!
NAND backup / restore would also be a slight inconvenience more than anything...
We need at least a save exploit so we don't need internet to launcher haxx
Smash wii u has code forcely injected by loadiine like a virus. That deletes after reboot so it won't work. We need a save based exploit that doesn't delete after reboot. Smash wii u might not have exploits. (The only reason codes runs from it is because the IOSU allows it to use the sd card.)i mean there is smash bros wii u and another one which was used to load HBL or something, can't remember. Like in wii maker mode i can't remember.

Retroarch team just got a wii u and is working on a port right now.I'm genuinely curious as to why we haven't seen much news on natively running Wii U emulators. Sure we got the VC and can do injects, but I much prefer emulators cuz we can force widescreen and not be restricted to 4:3 on our old games. And while we can do that just fine in the vWii, we can't actually use the gamepad as a controller in the vWii (yet anyway), so as such, I'd really love to see some emulators that we could run in the Wii U homebrew launcher. Doesn't even need to be the complex PSone/N64 stuff yet either, just the NES, SNES, GB/C/A, and Genesis and I'd be pretty content for quite a while.
It least it is good to know that their are offline hacks even if they fail alotwe had very limited success so far ,, we had success with launching offline exploit from the wiiu , but it was like 1 in 50 , and hasnt gone any further...

That is a good place to find them on your computer but on the wii u is pointless because you need to add roms for them.www.wiiubru.com/appstore would be the home of these apps ..
Yes this is true , i did add chip-8 roms for awhile but thought better of supplying them in the end...That is a good place to find them on your computer but on the wii u is pointless because you need to add roms for them.

Yeah, I've seen those, aside from the GB emulator though, I'm not really looking for that stuff. Plus I'd rather my GB emulator was an all in one up to GBA emulator or at the very least a GBC emulator.
what do you mean "that was fast" ???Oh wow, they already have the console? That was fast Yeah, they apparently can use some of the old Wii code to use as a template, I remember seeing something to that effect on GitHub.
That'll come in time.
