The logo looks unbearably cheap.

Interesting, though. Yet another rumor, or perhaps the real deal? Duo wouldn't be that horrible of a name to be honest.

If they drop the horrendous "Wii" brand and the "3D" gimmick that died out as a fad before the 3DS was even launched then that is a good thing. At least Duo is descriptive of what the product actually does and is distinctive from their previous products. At the same time it is kind of lame and unimaginative as a name, but then again Nintendo are lame and unimaginative as a company so what do you want.

Ikr. They totally didn't revolutionize gaming in the least.

The last good thing they did that revolutionized anything was the DS, everything since has been ultra garbage. Thank you Nintendo for waggle controls, 240p 3D screens, unwieldy tablet controllers and no new original IPs in 15 years, so much innovation right there.

Amiibos are great though, cheers for those.

The leaker of this picture has already been assassinated according to my confidential, also-dead sources.

btw - wouldn't Nintenduo make more sense or are they going for Pokemon DoDuo tie-in? It's late, need some sleeeep.

Um, no.

In subjective terms, you don't like Nintendo, fine. You don't like their motion controls, 3D screens and tablet controllers? Perfect; your opinion.

But the fact that all of these added a lot to gaming, innovated, is undeniable. Like it or not, motion controls are still seen with varying degrees of frequency, even by Microsoft and Sony (who, I remind you, joined in it as well) and it was Ninty who brought them forward.

Touch screen, 3D screen, asymmetric gameplay and off TV gameplay are still being used with varying degrees of frequency as well.

Tl;dr: saying they revolutionized gaming with these is objective, not liking them is subjective.

Subjectiveness here: I don't like amiibo, they're a pretty blatant cash grab in my opinion. Neither am I a fan of motion controls, but I won't deny their effects in the industry.

To be fair, there was Splatoon. But I believe the last one before that was Pikmin which indeed launched 15 years ago, so yeah, one new IP in 15 years is hardly impressive.

Dropping the Wii or DS brands would be a good thing at this point, reduce the chance of confusion (I know someone IRL who thought the Wii U was an addon for the Wii).
