Why would you send it to Nintendo?
Warranty?

They won't do anything with your device.

They'll notice the ah9l installation and will send your device back without repair
How would they know? Just send your console without an SD Card and make sure you uninstall Dev apps from your NAND if you have any.

when they try to boot to see if they fixed it it will turn off automatically, wouldn't it?
In that case they would probably flash new firm onto your device. And then your A9LH would be gone.

But ShadowNAND could bypass the issue about the missing SD.
It wouldn't show any Apps you have installed, since they are saved on the SD.
And ShadowNAND starts without an SD.
To realize you have A9LH they would need to check your NAND.
They will probably update unupdated consoles, but there is FIRM write protection.

It really depends how the System repair is done. And how much they check.

And brick because of non legit CIA files being installed and therefore having an unloadable NAND.
Non legit CIA won't brick your console if you remove your CFW, they just won't launch and throw an error if you managed to launch one before it disappear from your home menu.

My guess is they have a way to check if any alterations have been made even if you think you tried to hide it enough that they won't the moment they find something been done, they will deny repairs due to their policy of you breaking the rule of no unoffical software not provided by nintendo.

I dunno how they do it but is something like how computers place saftey strips of some kind inside pc cases to tell if you have opened it yourself and decide if you tampered with it and decide not to provide service even under warrenty cause they know if you did open the system or not. Most likely they would either return your system with no modification or maybe something else if you are lucky depending on your idea of luck.

Just install some A9LH fork that doesn't need SD before sending it. I'm almost sure they won't notice it.

Also, uninstall any apps. But DON'T uninstall A9LH, you'll need a hardmod to recover it!

Does it? Won't it just prompt for an update?
I guess it depends on the system title and what modification you've done to it.
yeah, if it's the home menu you are in trouble lol. if the camera, no.
but no one should really be installing non legit system titles anyway, so it's not really something to worry about unless you are in that minority.
