Hacking (Question) How can I mod sm4sh with OSX?

Well, I'll be honest with you - it's not exactly convenient. However, it is doable. It's just going to require some creativity, patience, and resourcefulness on your part.

My setup is a Macbook Pro, w/ El Capitan and Windows 10 via Parallels. If you're unfamiliar with Parallels, it basically runs Windows at the same time as OSX, so you can open Windows only apps and programs along side your OSX programs.

With this setup I've been able to do just about everything a person can do on Windows, save for a few small things (some of the Python scripts people have made are coded weird and don't work) but if your goal is to use Sm4shExplorer to add mods and music, you'll be fine with a setup similar to mine.

Mind you, you'll have to buy Parallels AND a copy of Windows. It'll set you back ~$200, unless you find some other way to obtain those programs.

Alternatives include running a virtual machine via any number of programs that do that (Google it if you're interested in taking this route).

How big is the dump? Might run it on my slow af windows laptop

Dump size won't make a difference in how well Sm4shExplorer runs, unless you have a really old, really crappy Mac. However, dump size is ~9GB after patching it with the 1.1.6 update.

My mod pack contains over 250 additional songs and a ton of extra costumes... And it runs just fine in Sm4shExplorer and compiles everything in less than 5 minutes.
