The given link made your file as you NEED it!
You can name the "arm9loaderhax.bin" as you want it!
Only the .bin has to be the same!
If you have the "arm9loaderhax.bin" form the downloaded Luma3DS github you can place it in sdmc:/Luma3DS/Luma3ds.bin
But you have to tel the CFW (Luma3DS) where it has his path!
So there comes the above link into the game!
Copy into it the path you need and the filename: Luma3DS/Luma3ds.bin
Now it will create the file and it knows where it is.

Sorry for my bad english!

Thats all by the way in this thread!
If you have more question write me a PM as i wrote before!

"noob-proof" huh. well i guess i am even more dumb.
So, SYSnand 9.2, Gateway emunand 11.0. I have a gateway flashcard and my cubic ninja copy was used to launch GW.
My emunand entrypoint was always MSET, but for some reason I thought "Luma3ds & autoboot emunand sounds cool!" and now here I am.
This is literally all i want: luma3ds to play other-region DLC and autoboot GW emunand.
The thing is, I have NO idea about menuhax/pasta or whatever, I never used ANY homebrew laucher.
There is no "install method" for luma3ds on the main site, only where to copy files. Again, I have no idea what I should do: A9LH? Menuhax/etc?
Then, what should I do after this? How do I boot it? Not explained. I imagine I should do the thingy with QR code from sysnand and launch the homebrew launcher? I guess it will be either A9LH or other hax, that will give me access to luma3ds? Ugh.
Can someone explain to me, who didn't care about homebrew before? Please?

If you want to use Luma with a9lh (and install a9lh), read this guide: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki

If you want to use Menuhax, read this section: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-1-(Homebrew) then extract 3ds/Luma3DS/Luma3DS.3dsx from the Luma3DS v5.5 release archive to boot.3dsx

I recently updated my friend's 3DS to 9.2 ( he was and still a GW user )
I've tried to setup Luma3DS to install a9lh but it give me black screen after the configuration menu in both MenuHax and BrowserHax
I've tried formatting both sd card and system without any luck, reset MenuHax and double check every necessary file is in the SD card

Any thoughts/possible reason ?

BTW I've setup Luma CFW previously in my N3DS and a friend's 2DS
A Gateway user you say? Would the Gateway section of Troubleshooting on the Wiki apply to his 3DS?
https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/wiki/FAQ-and-Troubleshooting

heya guys, how many of you already upgraded their a9lh to V2 ?

i have not looked much into it after reading that it does not work with the gw payload etc.
i would only use it if i can just sraight out flash it over (the screen in it version of v2 and then if it would just straight out work with GW/Luma payloads.)

my current setup 'updated sysNAND' Luma cfw directboot (and holding start boots me into GW).

I've updated it ...I don't have a Gateway though, so I couldn't tell you if the Gateway payload works. Everything has worked just fine for what I use though (Decrypt9, Uncart, and Luma mostly).

Im on a New 3DS with 9.2 + Luma3DS (Replaced ReiNand)

When I used the pathchange program, it asked me for my payload, I have no payload in the luma folder, so I directed it to my Luma3DS.dat, I then booted it and it still won't play DS games without giving me an error. I'm using CTRbootmanager. So, how do I fix this? I can play SSB4 fine. Just not DS games and GBA games. Help please?

Have you installed patched TWL or GBA FIRMs in the past?
Are you using EmuNAND then (probably since you're using CTRbootmanager)? IIRC both of those need to be installed to both NANDs to work in the case.

No, I've never patched anything, and yes I'm using EMUnand.
Do you have the DSi/GBA games you're trying to play installed to both Nands? You can play Smash, so these seem like they should work if they're installed to both NANDs (since you've not installed a patched GBA/DSi firm).

GOT IT WORKING, THANKS TO YOU AND YOUR MINIPASTA! I am so thankful right now omg
Well, I mean it's not mine but I'm glad it worked out for you and you're welcome.

I've fixed this now, and in appreciation to those who tried to help, I'll post how: Simply ran Luma Updater. Obviously I'd installed something incorrectly, I just ran the update on the current version and I got into the GBA games immediately afterwards.

Oh that's a little weird but I'm glad everything worked out for you, just one question does the gba boot splash work for you?

I'm not entirely sure what you want, do you want an explanation of everything or just a walk through of setting up but some guides were linked to you but if you still need help we can try to help.

I have updated to v2 but I also read it doesn't work with GW and I'm not sure if it's been fixed since I stopped looking at those threads since I don't have a GW.

When you used the Pathchanger did you give it the correct and full path to it?

Yes, I put the path to it (F:\Luma3DS.dat).

You just need to put the path from your SD card not computer so if your planning to put it on root it would just be just luma3ds.dat but I'm not sure because iv never seen it put on root haha. In example for a folder though is 3ds/luma3ds/luma3ds.dat

Hi, I'm having a problem with this CFW. I am unable to boot GBA games. I am able to boot Smash, DS, and DSiWare games. I have them installed on my sysNAND.

Still having trouble with this. Can anybody help?

I tried booting it with CTRBootManager and without. Still getting the same problem.
Use the path changer in the .zip file of Luma3DS. Drag your Luma3DS.dat onto it, then put the path to the Luma3DS.dat file, like for me it was "F:\Luma3DS.dat", that's what fixed it for me.

Now do I use the path changer file? I'm on a Mac btw.

Go to the pathchanger file in the Mac OS X folder then drag it onto your desktop, then drag your Luma3DS.dat file from your sd onto it. It will open, then put the path to the Luma3DS.dat file on your sd. For me it was "F:\Luma3DS.dat"

I put the Luma3DS .zip file as an attachment. Download it then open it, go to path changer, then Mac OS X, the pathchanger file will be in there.
