None of the kiosk consoles have access to the Internet. As far as I know.

Out of SHEER curiosity, what happens if you pop one of the demo disks into a non-kiosk Wii U?

Honestly, at worst the console will just spit the disk back out after trying to read it. At best the console actually may somehow be tricked into going into a partial kiosk mode

I only wonder... @Conker69, would you want to try this? I want you to be my test subject in experimenting with this system.

Gamepad syncs to all you just need to pair a regular wiimote first then go to the settings menu and sync

You should sell/borrow one of these to someone who can make a teardown of the console.
That could make Gamepad-connectivity for PC easier (or at least to a Raspberry Pi / Arduino), amongst other things that don't come to my head right now! ^^'
