Homebrew Homebrew game Ultimate Switch Port Thread

From what I see, it requires online connection for first run?
Even if it requires an online connection, it should still be possible to port

I tried porting Genshin Impact, and i managed to get the entire networking part working unfortunately, it have some kind of anti-cheat checks that prevent it from entering gameplay

So i assume it should still be possible with other online games that don't have the same kind of AC restrictions

I think this fixed the physics issues on level transitions, but now music is just entirely disabled (even when enabled in the options / with a fresh save file)

This only partially fixes it, on level load. However, if you trigger a music pause / change elsewhere (ex. going from main menu to season select to box select, or interacting with anything that would trigger an ad), the bug still happens.
Just shadow updated it again on the 1.0.1 release, please download and test

Cut The Rope does not show NRO icon under A+ Z button.
wdym ? the .nro show the icon properly

Thank you, I think that did the trick. On the topic of the icon (unless they're referring to something else), it doesn't show in hbmenu, but it's fine with sphaira / as a forwarder (which is good enough for me at least).

if porting online games that doesnt really have an anticheat like genshin impact, then would games like project sekai be possible to be ported?

Maybe, as long it doesn't depend fully on google play service it should be possible

Genshin Impact on the Switch?
It's been 6 years since the announcement of it and rumor has it they just moved it to Switch 2 due to the poor performance of the game on the Switch 1 hardware.

Yeah i don't think they will ever release it, probably due to the poor CPU performance of the switch

About the Android port, i couldn't get it fit within the 3.2GB so even if someone manage to bypass the AC i doubt it can be played on retail switch

Yeah JJ has pretty long loading time, i may check if it can be optimized later.
For the gamepad i probably won't change, unless someone is willing to send a PR for this
I think I ran into a softlock with JJ. On the Gadgets screen, when you buy enough gadgets with coins to unlock the next tier of gadgets, it'll lock up after "unlocking" the gadget, but before the next category unlocks. The music will still play and you can still move the cursor around but other than that it's frozen. If you quit the game and re-open it, the gadget is still locked, basically locking out most of the gadgets beyond the first tier. I don't think it's just a slow loading issue, as I let it sit for about 10+ minutes one run and it never proceeded.

Apparently people got it running at 60fps, medium/high settings on switchroot.

No, it doesn't run at 60 FPS that's misleading
I tried it on Android with an even higher overclock than what was tested here + 8GB RAM, it can indeed run fairly well, even at high graphics settings, since the game is mostly CPU-bound, but it stutters a LOT and has graphical issues.
Android also has memory swapping, and optimizing memory allocation is especially difficult with Unity ports on HOS

I'll check, i already fixed few softlock in menu but seems like i didn't catched this one
