I was unsing Luma3ds with just only "folder" luma and "arm9loaderhax.bin"

If you're using A9LH, you don't need Luma3DS.dat and the Luma3DS folder inside the 3ds folder.

you guys are the best, its working again.

so people, if anyone of you gets an error code displayed with some online functions of your 3ds games stating 'system update is required' just make sure to download the latest luma cfw provided by astronautlevel's github !

is there a new update out guys ? i play fe:fates and when i try to update my data in it i get an error code and it says 'for this option a system update is required' i am on 10.7

You mean 9.9. Anything not 11 is decent.

Joke aside, if you mean 9.9, you can downgrade and get that sweet A9LH going if you follow Plailect's guide here

Luma3DS.dat is only used for the HBL *hax version (which is in the "3ds" folder), that's why they are not important if you are using A9LH.

The "luma" folder is common between the HBL *hax version and the A9LH version, so it's not unimportant and might be updated in the future.

Am I missing something about this CFW being able to run out of region games? I'm on a EUR system and have installed a few USA CIA files and half of them work but the other half give an error on launch. Region free should be automatic, right?

Yes, make sure you're on the latest release (or nightly, I guess) of Luma though.
If they still don't work, then some of those CIAs are probably corrupt or something.

I'll try updating to a nightly then. CIAs came straight from the eShop so they should be fine. Already tried the language emulation thing but that didn't change anything. Guess some games can't be fooled?

If you're using menuhax then the external boot manager issue doesn't apply to you.

Ok, so use the official arm9loaderhax.bin from a luma3ds release, and place any arm9loaderhax payloads you may need in SD: luma/payloads/buttonname_Payloadname.bin

So, sorry for bothering but...

I followed Plailect's guide, and everything is working alright... Excepting the fact I can't load EmuNAND9 when pressing Y on boot. Loading Decrypt 9 pressing Start on boot works alright, but Emunand9 doesn't.

As I followed Plailect's guide, I have a 2DS in 10.7 SysNAND (haven't updated), and I already checked I had the latest EmuNAND9 release and that the BIN file was alright inside the payloads folder inside luma folder.

Has someone the same issue?
