Can you use a partition/file manager to clone the entire sd card or just the emunand partition? That would seem like the quicker and most logical way to go.

It is actually. that was the original way i went about it but my 3ds wouldn't detect the sd after i extended the partition but worked just fine before extending it. did it multiple times with the same result and extended the partition with a different program (ease US and mini aide) as well

Thanks, that's good to know. I was wondering about that approach.

As a last resort, you could always backup your saves and restore them to a fresh emuNAND.
i see, by that you mean redoing plialect's guide again or something like that?

1. extract the emunand you want to move with emunand tool
2. Put new SD card in the system and format emunand
3. Use emunand tool to put backup onto new card
4. Copy all other files onto new card.

Or you could swap #1 and #2. Doesn't matter.

EmuNANDTool cannot recognize trimmed emuNAND, which is usually made by EmuNAND9.

In this case, use EmuNAND9 to transfer.

Well that makes sense, how would i transfer using emunand9?
1. Backup EmuNAND
2. Press B to withdraw old SD, then copy EmuNAND backup from old SD to computer
3. Insert new SD to 3DS, then format it
4. Press B to withdraw new SD, then copy EmuNAND backup from computer to new SD
5. Inject EmuNAND backup to new SD
