This may or may not be the official thread for http://www.homemenu.co/

Homemenu.co is made and updated by Alerdy

Well it seems it needs to be said, don't do this on your sysnand if you don't have A9LH. You will most likey brick if you don't know what your doing or edit something wrong. If you don't/want A9LH then do this on an emunand.

Homemenu.co will host custom home menu assets as we get them.

Feel free to contribute by uploading a screenshot of the asset(preferably a NTR Screenshot), the compressed file and a description of what was changed.

Follow this guide to either make your own or to install ones that will be supplied by homemenu.co- https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-edit-the-homemenu.424449

To-Do:(Comment or msg me any suggestions)
Hopefully we will get to these xD

1. User/Upload System
2. Download Count
3. Like function
4. Comment function

So to make sure you don't get stuck, please make sure to make a backup of your nand that you are installing the modified homemenu.cia to, because there are only 2 ways to revert and be able to make more changes to it. Either 1, restore to a previous nand and reinstall the newly made homemenu.cia (because it won't allow you to install over the modified cias with another modified one)or 2, install a clean homemenu.cia from 3dnus, reboot, and then install the newly made homemenu.cia.

For some, installing a clean cia bricks the nand and for others it works just fine.

For quickpatching the files you downloaded into a cia I made this small tool.
Simply put the (decrypted) HomeMenu.cia (named HomeMenu.cia) into the same folder as this tool.
Then simply drag and drop the files you downloaded from Homemenu.co onto the batch file and it will automaticly patch these files into the CIA.
Your output file will be HomeMenu_patched.cia, which you can simply NCCH encrypt with Decrypt9 and then install.

So this will work on 10.7 or do i have to downgrade to 9.2 and also this makes like custom icons and boot animations?

I hate... HATE this kind of questions...
Yeah, me too. Heck, it isn't even "9.2 only" and if you have homebrew access on 10.7 you should've downgraded and gotten a CFW by now anyways.

(Vanilla) 10.7 can run userland code and can not modify anything permanently on the 3DS, or run unsigned code straight from the system or home menu. Also, it can't access the full powers of the system. With exploits like svchax, though, you can downgrade to 9.2 which, with a CFW like Luma3DS, can run unsigned code, emuNAND, etc, and with A9LH you can do that on any firmware.

Yes i know but i was wondering if 10.7 works if there was an exploit but whatever
There is an exploit, if you have access to the Homebrew Launcher, that lets you go back to 9.2 and run it from there.

(no, we do not have 10.7 kernel access)

Yay. I'm glad that we are at the point in the 3ds's lifespan that we can edit the home menu. Now we can get some REAL CFW. (By real I mean more than just sig patches/region free type of stuff)
