This is actually a good point. We could make it point to a .gba rom file and then use the R4 launcher to run the rom? Or as you said get pokemon that need gba game inserted. afaik gba games just load into DS mode and emulate a Slot-2 cart?

If ya wanna run GBA on real hardware via 3ds, just use VC. Works great

Ace3DS PLUS supporting the newest 3DS V10.4.0-29 directly !
so it should work (anything that works on >=7.0 will work on every firmware)

I have no idea what the game compat is like, but the 3ds firm and cfw will have 0 effect on that.

Hey there,

I'm trying to make this work in my old r4iiisdhc but with no luck for now. The flashcart is working fine in my DS lite and when I put it in my 3ds I have an Id in the DevMenu (and a white flashcart in the normal loader), so I don't think it has any physical problem.

As long I know this is a DSTT clone but with the files name modified so my dat is called R4.dat and the folder is R4. I have try the DSTT firmware you upload and if I create a copy of TTMenu.dat called R4.dat (so having both in the SD root) it is working fine in my DS lite.

I think I have try all the possible combination of firmwares (the flashcard original and the DSTT you upload), format the SD in fat and fat32, and the launchers you upload, but I always have both screens in black and no response until I force the restart.

I'm launching all this from the emunand loaded with the nighty version of rxtools (I also have installed cakes but with the same result). Just in case I installed also the launchers in the sysnand, and even the TWL firm modified.

So unless I missing something I really don't know what more can I do. I'm wondering if maybe the problem is that the flashcart dat is R4.dat and no launcher is looking for that, so if that is the case, maybe a specific launcher will solve my problems?


Well anyway in this point I'm open to any suggestion, so any idea will be much appreciate.

I can't believe it but with AuReiNand and the DSTT luncher it just worked! so it seems that for this flashcart the nighty of rxtools and cakesFw are simply not working, you need TWL FIRM and AuReiNand.

For the record I'm using the firmware uploaded here for DSTT flashcarts with a copy of TTMenu.dat renamed as R4.dat, installed the launcher in both emunand and sysnand and the SD is formatted as fat32.

Thanks to Akghar for the tip and to Apache Thunder for the launcher, finally I can retire my old trusty DS!

Hey guys, does anyone have the one for Supercard DSone? The one in the stage 1 gives me an error when I try to use it with this, and the download links in the thread seems to dead-end into the battlefield website and I cant download anything from it.

1. Go get AUReiNand lol
2. Install the CIA, format your r4 card to fat16(aka FAT) and insert to r4 with all games
3. Click on newly-installed CIA
4. PROFIT

as you can see in the video yo need something to put pressure on the contacts i put a few layers of bown packaging tape
works flawlessly and can take it in and out like a regular nds game
