Hacking [CFW War] What CFW do you use, and why?

A9LH > AuReiNand, usally with > MenuHax > Gateway.

I can boot into sysNAND and play homebrew, emulators, and GBA games, as well as any installed games from the eShop or CIA. Or I can boot into 9.0 firmware and launch Gateway from MenuHax and play the 3DS ROMs on my cart.

I first started with Gateway, and i hated it. I seriously only took it for smash bros 3DS to play it early at the time. My first good CFW i started with was Rxtools, a year ago. Back then i had to launch through Cubic Ninja all the time. Then, i discovered CakesFW so i got on it. At that moment i went Cake combo browserhax. With my N3DS, when the actual downgrade exploit was released back in january, i went with Reinand (that i liked because of the version string patch mostly. I like when it says out loud what is my CFW) with browser hax. About a month ago i found plailect's tutorial for A9LH so after a bit of reflexion, i decided to go with it, and so i switched with Aureinand.

So far i like Aureinand with A9LH. Not a pro of CFW so i cant really tell much that makes differents each of them, but for sure A9LH is master race.

Edit: Oh and i also tried Sky 3DS 2nd gen between Gateway and Rxtools. About 2 week before the new security check went on. What a waste of money. I only use it now when i need cubic ninja as a first entry point.

Edit 2: I will probably someday go back to Reinand, only because i prefer official than fork.

Well, for one it runs in A9LH

Each custom firmware got its special place for everyone, as example Palentine and giovaniffy, i remember the days when u needed to hold L while entering to rednand so u could send a cia installer trough wifi.

then RxTools came, i myself never used Cakes.

to A9LH -> AuReiNAND 5 days ago
Best decision I have ever made.

I like Palantine, because it lets me inject my Gateway-formatted Nand into my RedNand, launched through DS Profile, and a stunningly high 60% boot success rate: It even changes to a blue color to let me know it crashed!

Not every CFW can install .cias only if they're below the ver 7.0 encryption, and Palantine has just what I need!

rxTools + Browserhax, just because it was what was most recommended when I set up emuNAND, and I'm not in the mood to set anything else up right now, partially because I'm still having emuNAND issues from when I swapped SD cards. I'm planning on switching to AuReiNAND + NTR and maybe A9LH soon.
