Alright, delete the whole makeanim directory, download it and try again.

25 dec = 0x19 hex so that's wrong

Can somebody please help me... After the animation finishes(laggy) it just boots decrypt9
That's because you set your sdmc:/arm9payload.bin or sdmc:/anim/arm9payload.bin to be Decrypt9. That payload should be your CFW of choice.
Newer releases will only support sdmc:/anim/arm9payload.bin

For me it boots a blank screen, and go to CFW or the boot manager, whichever I set as payload. Tried with the default animations and other downloaded ones. What have I done wrong?

You haven't placed the animation files correctly. They should be inside a folder called '0', '1', '2' ... '9', which is inside 'anim', depending on how many animations you want to get picked at random.

Inside each folder you should place either 'anim' 'bottom_anim' or both, as well as a 'config' file.

But I have placed them correctly. In fact, the default animations that come with the zip file are already with the folders correctly set, right?

Yep. Just extract everything directly to SD card. And what do you mean by a 'blank screen'? Do you mean black or white?
As always, make sure you're using the latest version.

That's what I did, I can't think of anything placed incorrectly. Last version. And is loading my payload OK. Just showing a black screen instead of animations.

edit: All right, @Wolvak helped me and thanks to him we nailed it, I may have downloaded BA9 Saturday when github messed up with the binaries. Just downloaded again and worked like a charm.

Will this slow boot times compared to a 3ds with no boot animation?

Or is it the exact same and the animation ends as soon as the 3ds loads up?

I don't know why but the animations in the first page are all very slow in my new 3ds..1/2 fps and with poor quality, someone can help me? I tried to open the config file with an hex editor, but there is already 0x1E (30 fps)..

Well, first off use the latest version. Secondly, what 'first page'? If you mean the animation sharing thread, then I don't know what's wrong, try defragmenting your animations files maybe?

In case you're using animations from this thread, then they're most likely intended for an older version. Just try using ones from the sharing thread, which is linked in the OP

Yes, I downloaded yesterday night, so it's the latest version. First page of this thread, the animations taken from the sharing thread, I tried the updated version too in the last pages in sharing thread, but it doesn't change anything, ever 1-2 fps and with very poor quality. Maybe I have something with the arm9payload file?

So converting a 60fps gif to 30fps bootscreen, should I just delete every second frame?
You don't really have to, the makeanim script takes care of everything.

Would you mind joining #BootAnim9 over at freenode? It'd make things a lot easier.
