Use browserhax to downgrade to 9.2. Google "browserhax 3ds" and Google "3ds 9.2 downgrade"

Look in the gbatemp 3ds tutorials section.

AFAIK you have to try more times. It took me tons of tries.

What entry point are you using? I.e. Browserhax, menuhax, etc.

i get a black screen almost every single time i start SysUpdater. it only boots like every ten times maybe. is that normal too?

Section IV - Restoring the System
after restore sysnand_original.bin... i restore emunand
Restore RedNAND from RedNAND_original.bin
but when it run to 80%, it failed and say file too small, when i check emunand_original - size 1.84GB reduced to 1.32gb, after that i click on microsd to see size, it only have 2.3GB, so i go to EaseUS Partition Master 10.8 and saw one partition unformatted, so i delete and merge to rednand partition....after that...i boot to homebrew launcher and run OTPhelper - restore emunand - and it say : SD is not formatted for EmuNAND

I think that "unallocated" partition were your emunand. Merging it with the rest made your emunand's nand inexistent.
This is just a guess though

no, it's not formatted partition ...if it's unallocated...i won't do that...anyway my microsd use to setup is 4GB, before i format and merge unallocation, it only have 2.3GB, i copy emunand_original.bin (1.9GB) only 300MB+ left... how i can continue ?

Well, I'm on the phone right now so it's hard to find/share links, but if the only problem you have is the restore emunand issue, maybe you can use that program called emunand tool or something like that in order to restore your emunand from your pc without the need of copying the actual .bin on your sd

Then you'll have to use emunand tool max... Because "emunand tool" (another program for windows) will probably crash too.

If none of the previous worked, your only option left would be the use of a bigger sd card
but my big 64gb card already have tons of stuff before i install arm9 on 4gb microsd...

update : 3ds multi nand (after i used HP USB disk format then use EaseUS to merge unallocated partition -> use 3ds multi nand to format and write .bin) worked, so after this, i just need copy all backup file (except emunand_original because i used it to write) right ? Then continue Part 5

Yes, you don't need emunand_original on your sd card

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
