I guess, we could convert the nds roms to dsiware to install it on the sd card. That could be the easiest way but here is the hardest part to make it possible
We have literally no way to do that conversion, though, without Nintendo's own tools.I guess, we could convert the nds roms to dsiware to install it on the sd card. That could be the easiest way but here is the hardest part to make it possible
Or making some, which comes back to lack of and/or lack of willing skill. We have literally no way to do that conversion, though, without Nintendo's own tools.

We can do "some" reverse engineering*facepalm* how exactly do you expect us to "make some" without proper tools to do so?
It was later revealed to be a DSI ported game. So no, DS injection can't be a thing.Oh crap, I was trying to link to wololo's site talking about the new DS VC
It's funny how we can:
A: Play pirated DS games on Flashcarts
B: Use actual DS carts
but not:
C: INSTALL DS GAMES ON 3DS
(if I'm wrong please correct me, I really want to play Sonic Rush)
Well, there's plenty of answers that aren't the answers we want. Modifying the pre-existing firmware would be a lot of work, if it would be possible to make it work that way, and the 3DS has some very strict limitations on how the hardware interacts with each other. A loader wouldn't really work, the 3DS doesn't have that much RAM and I don't think there's any way for the TWL firmware to address the SD card. This is not the answer we are looking for *jedi fingers
ARM11 is not used much in TWL_FIRM, mostly for screen scaling and adjusting touch positions, so theoretically the ARM11 can redirect cartridge reads/writes to SD Card.
Some games, sure, but there will be plenty that won't. Even on the N3DS.If we are only using one game at a time it should
2GB of RAM? I'm fairly sure it doesn't. If it does, then that's plenty for a loader, though it'd still be a lot of work. For the o3DS, it doesn't have enough. It has to load the entire ROM into the RAM.DS's only have 4mb of ram. The old 3DS has 128 mb of ram and 6mb of VRAM
--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------
N3DS has 2 GB RAM: 128 MB FCRAM, 4 MB VRAM
