I guess, we could convert the nds roms to dsiware to install it on the sd card. That could be the easiest way but here is the hardest part to make it possible

We have literally no way to do that conversion, though, without Nintendo's own tools.

It's funny how we can:
A: Play pirated DS games on Flashcarts
B: Use actual DS carts
but not:
C: INSTALL DS GAMES ON 3DS

(if I'm wrong please correct me, I really want to play Sonic Rush)

Go with Option A or B then. It's gonna be about your best choice for a while.

This is not the answer we are looking for *jedi fingers
Well, there's plenty of answers that aren't the answers we want. Modifying the pre-existing firmware would be a lot of work, if it would be possible to make it work that way, and the 3DS has some very strict limitations on how the hardware interacts with each other. A loader wouldn't really work, the 3DS doesn't have that much RAM and I don't think there's any way for the TWL firmware to address the SD card.

I'm sure someone could make come up with a solution, but it'd have to be very complicated and not worth the effort when people can just pick up a flashcart for ~$20.

ARM11 is not used much in TWL_FIRM, mostly for screen scaling and adjusting touch positions, so theoretically the ARM11 can redirect cartridge reads/writes to SD Card.

As stated arm11 can't directly access sd card. But it can access ram. Will a typical rom fit in unused 3ds only ram?

I never understood this, if the people that could do it don't want to do it because piracy is the issue, what's the difference between this and making emulators for 3DS? Is something like BlargSNES not seen as piracy, but downloading a 3DS game is? Just because something is old doesn't mean it's okay to pirate. Seeing as how you can still buy most of these games on the eShop or other platforms. I'm not saying we shouldn't be looking into a way to play DS games without the cart or a flashcart. It's just I don't see the difference between the two. I hope I got my point across without stumbling all over this text.

DS's only have 4mb of ram. The old 3DS has 128 mb of ram and 6mb of VRAM

N3DS has 2 GB RAM: 128 MB FCRAM, 4 MB VRAM
2GB of RAM? I'm fairly sure it doesn't. If it does, then that's plenty for a loader, though it'd still be a lot of work. For the o3DS, it doesn't have enough. It has to load the entire ROM into the RAM.
