**ONLY TESTED ON N3DS**

I just thought I would share this with anyone on the fence about A9LH. Try this first and see if it works for you. Backstory: I had ReiNAND on my 3DS and random boot failures were common. Every 1 out of 3 boots would fail. I've had this for a week now and it's only failed to boot once (and I play a LOT of AGB_FIRM games).

What you need:
1) Menuhax_Manager 2.2 or greater.
2) CTR Boot Manager
3) AuReiNAND and it's required files.
4) Lesshax payload for your system model/version.
5) Homebrew starter kit and an entrypoint to start it.

Setup:
1) Use the entrypoint of your choice to install Menuhax.
2) Copy CTRBootManager to the root of your SD and rename it to "less.3dsx".
3) Go to the AuReiNAND download folder on your PC and find the "menuhax" folder. Enter it and rename "boot.3dsx" to "cfw.3dsx".
4) Set up AuReiNAND like normal and copy the "cfw.3dsx" to the root of your SD card.
5) Paste this into the "boot.cfg" file on your SD card.
boot_config :
{
timeout = 0;
autobootfix = 2;
recovery = 2;
default = 0;
entries = (
{
title = "AuReiNAND";
path = "/cfw.3dsx";
offset = "0x12000";
},
{
title = "HomeBrewMenu";
path = "/boot.3dsx";
} );
};
6) Replace the Menuhax payload with the Lesshax payload appropriate for your system/version.
7) Profit.

Hope this works for you! If not, you'll have to try A9LH. :D

I have. Menuhax starts fine but ReiNAND would freeze randomly.
Well im not saying you're lying but i havent had anyone on my skype complain to me either, so these issues are kinda .. unique i guess.. it probably falls under the fact that the 3DS is very picky volitile. ive broken Reinand simply by changing the compiler flag to optimize the code.

cool this tut worked

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

can i coldboot aureinand with this?
Yes, go into the menuhax_manager, go to "haxx trigger button(s)" and select "type1" and touch the touch screen. You now have auto-booting! :D
I tried to do it :v and it just got a black screen when loading n stuff and shutdown :v help?
You must be missing files.

I don't think so... I've seen and heard a lot of this happening. Menuhax shows green on the bottom screen and ReiNAND just sits at a black screen.

whats the difference between type 1 and 2??
Type2 would make it so you have to press any button for it to start.

It's an auto-boot, NOT a cold boot. You need SysNAND to access EmuNAND...

That's probably an artifact of GCC more than anything. I once spent weeks figuring out why -O2 broke my code and -O1 didn't. It turned out that -O2 turned on some optimizations that it said it wasn't going to, and broke. Once I figured that out, I had gcc dump what exactly it was doing and selectively disabling optimizations until it worked. Fun stuff.

You need the FIRM file from the github page too. It's a separate download. (The cfg file only works on n3DS btw, it needs to be modified for o3DS.)
tried three times from scratch now mate. always blackscreen. when you say "copy this into your boot.cfg." what do you mean exactly? i've just been replacing the previous code in there with yours. is that wrong?

edit: and i'm on N3ds, not o3ds

No, that's correct. You need to delete everything in the cfg and paste in mine. Is your firmware.bin file in the AuRei folder?
