Hey guys, Just a little speculation about the games that I believe you should know about the previous game remakes.
We will NOT see a remake of Yellow, Crystal, Emerald or possibly Platinum(If they remake Pearl or Diamond at some point.) and the reason is because these games were made after/post production of the 2 games that were intentionally or originally made.
These 4 games(Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum) were made to be "Updated" versions of their 2 siblings making these games a secondary title to the story. These games just made a focus on the 3rd legendary offered in the game.
Now it seems they are only making games with 2 main legendary Pokemon(Pokemon Sun and moon) and may not include a third possibly because of the multi-type of the newer Pokemon(The Cancellation of Pokemon Z). With the multi-type Pokemon, it adds benefits and disadvantages in one. The reason why I bring up multi-types eliminating a 3rd legendary is because out of the old(1st,2nd,3rd generations) they were (Mostly)single-type and one legendary overpowered the other and created an "In-balance" to the 2 games and so they made the 3rd titles. An example would be Kyogre and Groudon;
Kyogre = Water Type
Groudon = Ground Type
Kyogre overpowers Groudon simply because Kyogre is a water type and is super effective against Ground/Fire types. So, to create a balance, they made Emerald featuring Rayquaza who is a Dragon/flying type.
If you look at the Nintendo's Wiki and you go to Pokemon Platinum, you will notice on how it says that Platinum is an Enhanced Version of its siblings and is in the same vein(Listing) as Pokemon Yellow, Crystal, and Emerald.
That is why we will never see a remake of Yellow, Crystal, or Emerald.(And possibly Platinum).
Lazy Links:
Red & Blue (Green, Yellow)
Gold & Silver (Crystal)
Ruby & Sapphire (Emerald)
Diamond & Pearl (Platinum)
