on 5.3.2 Spoofed to 5.5.1

So Ive updated SSB before using WupInstaller, and never seen this message after I launch Super Smash Bros WiiU

The file I downloaded from NUS was 2.28gb
I let it sit from about 2hrs to install using WupInstaller

When I went to launch the game I was greeted with:
Preparing update...
Then:
Installing update to system memory... Do not turn off the power. Time Remaining... Estimating...
If I press Cancel i get:
Return to wii u menu. To use this sofware, you must restatrt it and complete the updated data installation.

Is this normal for game update?
Or is this the ACTUAL firmware upgrade taking place.
Yes I have my router blocking Nintendo sites.

Thanks in advance guys

that is strange. If you download a offical gameupdate then you become this screen. Wii U updates look quite different

If you get this just turn it off but be quick or you risk a brick

Usually you have this download screen before you get the install screen:

Well, not always true. I have the same style of messages as the OP on 5.5

I think its a game update since wii u updates look quite different
If you get to the Wii Update Screen after a restart then turn it off (hold the power button for a time) and restart it.
If that a kind of new update screen its already installed. Please report back what it is

IDK, im afraid, i dont want to accidentally update my wiiu firmware, i have a lot of games and kids play it everyday day.
Im holding back for bit and see if anyone else has seen this before from the SSB update.
I did run update removal just in case.
I have rebooted my wiiu several times today and its fine, just cant play SSB disc because i am afraid of installing firmware update.
Also when I went into system settings and manage data, i was greeted with "unnecessary or incomplete data found, do you want to delete it?" I pressed yes.

Pretty simple here...

Are you using tubehax DNS? Yes? Then it's game update...

Are you blocking addresses yourself? Yes? Then it's a game update. Or you failed at blocking them so it's a system update.

Not using either of those? System update.

no tubehax dns.
yes router blocking list of urls listed here in the forums.
The problem is the screen menu looks different than all the other SuperSmashBros, Splatoon or even SuperMarioMaker manual (WUP) updates Ive done. ?

Well if you're blocking updates properly... and you're spoofing... how did you magically get this firmware that it wants up update to on your system in the first place?

Also, if you're trying to run a game and it wants a system update, it flat out says that your system needs an update in order to start.

What firmware are you on? If on 5.3.2, just block everything, block nintendo urls, block internet to Wii MAC, use tubehax DNS, dump the damn game to SD, use NUSGrabber, download update, decrypt it, paste update on game folder, use loadiine, victory. Careful with disc games, they could have newer system updates.

So here is the update.

Initially I used : http://www.wupinstaller.com/wi/
to update SSB game, this code has been updated to kickback error codes and even a install message.
After about 2+ hours on standby to make sure the 2gb+ file installed is when after rebbot and at launch of SSB is when i received the error above (first post)
I did not continue with the update in fear of updating the firmware instead.
I then went into system settings and data management , and was greeted by a message indicating i had unnecessary data and wanted me to delete it. I did. Took 10 sec.

Same files on the SD card, I decided to use a different site.
I navigated to: http://wiiutools.com/WUP/
This site still using the original code with no error feedback message or install ok message.
Blind install.
I waited another 2+ hours today to ensure the 2gb+ files installed.
After a reboot, Super smash bros launch quick, with no dialogue box or "preparing" messege.
Game played online, no problem.

Not sure if that "installing" message while booting the game is part of the new code that the first site uses?
I guess only @crediar knows?
