Hacking Playing retail games on emunand and how to get the save file from a retail cart?

I have a few questions.

1. Can I play retail carts on emunand? If so can I do it on both Gateway and ReiNAND or is one of these restricted for retail carts?

2. How do I get the save file out of my retail cart? I want to be able to use it with Gateway if I dump the game onto Gateway.

1: Yes on Both no restrictions
2: once you dump the Game (as cia) onto Emunand you can run JK's Save manager to dump the save from your cart and Copy it over to Your dumped game

yeah you can dump saves by themselves from carts and put them on gateway (my bad)

use the gateway software or braindump

3: just run it it lets you choose retail cartt or cia
