As a brand, I've never liked Transcend. They always seem to have some problem or another. I feel like there's a couple things you could try, but they don't spring up to mind right now so...
The best SSD I can recommend right now is the Samsung 850 EVO series. High performance, lots of features, very high endurance rating, and not all that more expensive than the cheaper brands.
The most recommended value SSD comes from Crucial (I forget if it was the M500 series or another series). Decent performance with a low price point.
If you're looking for a cheap-as-chips replacement, you can look towards the Sandisk SSDs. The Ultra 2 and Extreme Pro series can often be found on sales for very low prices. They boast high speeds, although reviews revealed that they only maintain those high speeds through heavy use of its cache, so heavy usage or large file transfers will see the actual performance drop by half or so. Still way faster than any mechanical drive, so I didn't hesitate to pick up 3 in the last Black Friday sale to stick in 3 laptops.
