I do not think anybody can test pokemon bank. R/B/Y does not show up in Pokebank at all, my guess is that Pokebank itself will require an update to support those games.

makes sense. I didn't see them on there the other day, but that was before I started playing them so I figured they didn't show because of that lol you're probably right since pokebank hasn't updated in awhile.

Just wondering, that version of Pokémon Green have which sprites? The same of Red/Blue official English versions, or the original Red/Green japanese ones?
I'm looking for any version with the old-ugly japanese sprites, just for fun.

It gots the ugly ones! I posted a video of me trading to red VC and you can see the different bulbasaur sprites!

Nice to know! Just to understand, the Pokémon that can be found and catched on this version isn't the same amount of English Red, Blue or Yellow?
Also, I suppose the Sprint patch (hold B to run) that works on English Red/Blue won't work on this one, right? This would be very nice.

The pokemon are the same as what was in jap green. I have no idea how the running patch works. Since I got it working with trades I'm sure someone will mod it with sprinting/color/exp bars down the road.

I will try to inject ROM with English language in Japanese Virtual Console to open the option to "repair" the eShop. Is there any way to play without entering the eShop and repair the game?

one needs to find the address that GSC use for trading, then change the addresses in the patches in the VC romFS

Hello guys, I was wondering if it was possible to have the blue color palette for a blue version? Back in the day I played blue in a GBC, now it doesn't feel right to play it B/W, it's quite depressing. The GBC frame would be awesome to have too, is this possible?

Those games support the Super Game Boy color pallate and borders, which as far as I'm aware either haven't or are not supported on the Virtual Console. That being said hacks are possible to give the game color, so it's probably possible but could require some repacking.

EDIT: For the record, the four colors from your childhood are the SGB color patterns, not GBC. Red and Blue didn't have GBC color pallate but could display those SGB colors.

Yeah I know that, but I was talking just about regular GBC palettes, not SuperGB, All i want are those 4 beautiful colors from my childhood. I will check more.

I don't have access to modding tools to check, but I'm fairly certain if you got a hex editor and changed the value at 0x143 to 80 (it should be 00 at the moment) that would enable the palette colours.
(It wouldn't allow you to select a palette but I think because red and blue had defaults built into them it would default to that).

Not so. Pokemon Red/Blue/Green have no native Gameboy Color support.
If you change the value to force it to be a Gameboy Color exclusive game, it boots to completely white (though the game still works).
