I only help for free - personally - my parents, sister, wife and people that I know that have some tech knowledge that's near or better than mine. The last group is actually quite enjoyable to help since both can actually learn new things.

On topic: Stop feeding the trolls, specially those ones that are acting like they don't know the difference between softhacking and hardmodding.

Off topic: Ah, it's understandable. Only people I help for free are my parents but if it's some friends, hey, if you don't wanna pay, do it yourself. (You'd be surprised how many people are scared of modifying their system and bricking it!)

agreed i have sold several moddded wii's but i never asked anyone to buy a modded wii from me instead i always offered to teach but the mass is either too scared or lazy to do so and offer to pay me to do so for them

Difference is that my questions only came after real research, and I never spit in anyones face that gave sound advice. Plus, you only posted in here to smash people for asking for hard mods, and me for getting pissed....wow DUDE...

Serious talk, besides the obvious of "don't lend your friends something that is easily 'broken' by something as simple as updating", you should have coldboot set up even just for convenience and your SysNAND home menu should look like this:

Not if you made a hard mod first and took a nand backup. Then you could inject the backup and try again. If no backup though it really is the end.

I gave accurate information. Anyone that even knows what a hardmod, is obviously knows what the purpose is. So therefore, they wouldn't be here asking such questions. So, in retrospect, he got the correct answer.

It's already useless since your console is already updated, but you could have setup Parental control, that way your friend would have been locked out of the Internet on Sysnand.
