Okay, so I was setting up my TubeHax DNS and the DNS setup must've clashed with the BT HomeHub services my parents have put in place. (for example, Parental Controls (don't parents know what a VPN is nowadays...?))

Can someone point out either an alternative to DNS, or a way to fix the DNS settings clash with my Router. I don't think my parents are gonna change the Router's DNS settings anytime soon.

Read the last line, it tells you how to disable BT Protect. ;-)

Can't access that website without putting in the original DNS settings on my device. Otherwise, it just stays on a white screen when I click it.

Whatever, it's the only way to disable the setting.
I can't help it that your parents won't share it or you don't want to ask them to login. Maybe when you turn 18 in 4 years you can ask them. Good luck pal!
Still, that's not funny and not helpful. Screw you, because I'm being serious about this issue.

I'm serious too, and I'm telling you that the only way to use TubeHax DNS is by logging in on My BT and disable that setting.
So you're telling me that trying again in 4 years time is a serious thing? Think again for a bit.

Also, we looked in the settings and found nothing to do with the DNS. So there.

Look, I'm just pointing out what the BT message says. If you can't turn off BT Protect after you logged on to My BT then you better call them.

"Call them"

Ah, I've just had a good idea!

Maybe I could use a proxy (maybe using something like Charles Proxy) to stop updates!

@BakerMan, Any idea what happened? I hope that your brother's doing good.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
He couldn't eat until after his MRI, when he had a bomb pop.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
What matters now is that he's doing alright.
