"The latest version as well as a good tutorial can be found here. (this links to latest version, with Steveice's changes)

Changes has been made by Steveice so that nobody shoud experience a full brick again (i.e. the 3DS doesn't boot, even in safe mode). Thus, this version should be almost brick-proof.

Menuhax users will have to remove their extdata folders 00000082 (JAP), 0000008f (US), 00000098 (EUR), after downgrading.

By the way, I've deleted my sysUpdater fork repo on purpose."

I'm confused, is there a new sysupder, or is Julian the latest one?

my friend updated his 9.x N3ds to 10.3 but i have a copy of his nand.bin
is there a way to use that with these new downgrade methods to make it easier? or is it only useful if you use a hardmod/nandflash

You will brick if you use nand.bin from a console other than your own.

You can't use NAND.BIN from other people's consoles. You will brick if you use any nand.bin other than one from your own console.
i know that , thats not what i asked
my console is fine on 9.2 sysnand
my friend updated to 10.3 after i told him not to
but i have a copy of his nand.bin so will that make it any easier for me to downgrade his console? or is that just useful for dong a nand flash with a hardmod?
was there a way to flash a nand.bin without a hardmod from a nand.bin backup before this or is there now a method to that?

So do I, no attempts result in anything different. What FW are you on? I'm on 9.9.0.
When it eventually did do more than a blackscreen, says my files are invalid even though it's the same checksum as the one people say to use.
